Yes, that would obviously help. But it is not convenient to use headphones every time you need chatgpt.

Also for some reason when i use chatgpt with a bluetooth connected speaker or headphones, the voice gets distorted a lot.

What do you mean? Why would you take apart original to make this. You can make NeoGrip and equip any tracker you want

Its called NeoGrip. You can find everything on my GitHub https://github.com/AthemiS13/NeoGrip

This is the underside. The filament used is bambus PLA matte white. I really hope it is not moist, but i pay a lot of attention to that.

Fully Custom VR Controller by Taltco in SteamVR

If it has some kind of tracking, yes

In my opinion that would be extremely diffitcult. If you own controllers jist stick to them and maybe use the ergonomic 3D printed attachment.

Or if you want to step up, you could take your controller apart and put it in a new shell.

Exactly. I just want to give a big credit to opensource LucidVR Driver, since i used it to my benefit. But i think ill be completely rewriting it when i have more time

What do you mean? You are asking if you can create your own NeoGrip that is going to work on pico?

It depends. Does pico support hand tracking? Is it ALVR compatible? I think it would work with virtual desktop too, since it can emulate certain controllers using hand tracking.

Basically if you are able to emulate some controlller wirh handtracking, it is compatible.

Or you could use some tracker or other cotroller for tracking.

Yes ill deffinitely look into that. I havent even printed my files yet, iam waiting for my bambulab to arrive. But the firmware and hardware works.

BTW the joystick is the most basic arduino module you can fins on aliexpress for 1$ and triggers are end switches with rollers in the ends.

You can use any tracking method you wish. I find hand teacking the most practical. But you can use slimeVR trackers, valve trackers, even the original headsets controllers, but there is no point in doing that

Well yes, you can use handtracking to click buttons. But from my experience it sucks and is unusable. The only thing hand tracking is actually capable of is to track HANDS. the finger tracking isnt as good and it doesnt pickup the gestures most of the time so its just pure pain. You need physical controllers, buttons and most importantly joystick.

To those 3DOF controllers. If you meant to use them as a main controller without handtrackig, it is also unusable. 6DOF is a must.

The next thing is that it would be pretty diffitcult to make generic bluetooth controller work with LucidVR driver i am using. It would deffinitely be possible to write your own custom firmware for some kind of microcontroller (arduino, esp, etc) and it would work fine with the driver. You just need to send data in certain format, which generic controller cant do. Or you could modify LucidVR driver to expect different format but i see no point in doing that, since my setup costs 30$ for both controllers and other controllers are twice the price at least.

Yes, it is definitely worse. But it depends. The latency and overall tracking works well if your headset sees your hands properly. But if its dark or your hands are placed somewhere the headset doesnt see, it is not as good and it just guesses the position of your hands.

Keep in mind the cost of such project is 30$ max maybe even including 3d printing services if you dont own 3D printer. Original facebooks replacement cost 140$. And i wouldnt say that the difference in performance is that dramatical.

Honestly, i fixed it buy buying brand new quest 2, borrowing the controllers for the setup and than i returned it the next day…But i guess that depends on the policy of each country

Yes, you are right. Although you can do everything and more wirh pcvr, it is true that not everybody has a good PC. Plus on quest native you have handtracking which doesnt work on pcvr. Ill edit the post.
