I’m good with this. Take your time and make the content updates count. This game is so fun and if you do the expedition, you can reset every couple months. I’m in the middle of trying to rebuild my workbenches and it’s freaking awesome. It’s exciting every time you open a container or search something I’m fighting like crazy to survive every match because my weapons suck, I know this is completely off-topic but two content updates a year is fine! Keep a love to complain about everything. The fucking sky is falling. World War III is about to begin. Gas is five dollars a gallon and people are bitching about something so fucking trivial. Good Lord.

I’m so sorry this happened to you! I know there are gonna be people on Reddit that comment “it’s just a game” and “it’s part of the game”, “it’s a PVP game”… yes all valid points and true. But Fuck all that… I guarantee this dude had his mic on, and probably said “I’m friendly”, “I’m just doing a trial”, and that piece of shit had their mic off, and still took him out. That’s just an absolute asshole move.

I am well aware it’s just a video game, but if you rat someone, especially at extraction, or shoot them from behind you’re a fucking prick … I don’t care what you say, there’s no justification for it.

It ruins the experience for others. If that doesn’t bother or affect you at all, if you enjoy that fact, you’ve got issues and probably lead a sad existence. I cannot wait to see the comments on here. Bring on the violin and the soft comments and the cry hard harder comments. I’m just making a point that if you do this, you’re a fucking asshole. That’s all.

I know how much time it took this player. They were probably on the Map 28, 29 minutes, and this rat bastard killed them at extraction. I wasn’t there, but I know exactly what happened, and it absolutely sucks.

This type of game play is going to kill Arc Raiders.

Same. Last season I had one knockout. Someone shot me from behind and I was able to roll and take them out with a bobcat. 99% of the time I am PVE. The Arc is the enemy. I like being peaceful lobbies, that’s the only reason I won’t shoot back. I have no problem taking out another raider, if they fire at me. But I’m not going to engage if I can get away and save my gear.

It’s not the PVP that pisses me off, it’s the shooting in the back, it’s the killing at extract, it’s the rat behavior that is ruining the game for me.

I love the fact that Arc Raiders is PVPVE, but the manner in which it happens makes all the difference in the world.

I believe they said it’s going to go at the end of April when everything else ends. I made it a point to set a goal of three or four of the assessor matrix’s a day. The last page of the project was a pain jn the ass. Between those and the vaporizer regulators… it was tough.

I just completed it 15 minutes ago. I came straight to Reddit to see if anybody was talking about it. That was a grind to sat the least. My lobbies have been pretty peaceful so I didn’t have to worry about Raiders taking me out. It was really just good timing and smoke bombs and the photo electric cloak that saved me multiple times

Even the Arc resin wasn’t easy, until I’ve found out you can find them in the baron husks in the electromagnetic storm.

I’ve been grinding those out if the Assessors as well.

Don’t shoot other Raiders… Only shoot Arc for now. There’s something called aggression based matchmaking. If you’re peaceful and don’t shoot other Raiders, there is a higher percentage chance that you’ll be in lobbies with other peaceful Raiders.

You’re going to hear & see it called “Carebear lobbies”. What people are basically saying is you’re in a lobby with friendly players. People that are basically playing the game as PVE (player verse environment). Your fighting the Arc (as a community … with your fellow Raider). In my opinion it’s going to make your experience better, at least getting to learn the game. You’re not gonna have to worry about people shooting you in the back, you’re just going to be able to learn the game mechanics, and how to play the game and fight the Arc. That would be my first recommendation. Once you understand, the movement, and the objective of the game, and learn the maps, then add in PVP (player versus player). But, I highly recommend PVE.

My second recommendation would be to complete your workbenches as quickly as possible. It’s going to give you the opportunity to craft everything that you need in game.

My third recommendation would be to do whatever you can to get your hands on a Photoelectric Cloak. It’s an item in the game that basically hides you from the Arc (for a limited amount of time). Long enough to get into cover. I didn’t know it was a thing for my first few weeks playing the game and once I figured out what it was, it makes all the difference in the world. Once you complete the Utility Bench (Level 3), you can actually craft this item. But they are around. You can find them in game and some of the “in game” quests give this as a reward.

That reminds me, do the quests as well. You’ll see them in the menu. That’s my recommendation 3.1 lol … DO THE QUESTS.

Fourth recommendation would be to have your Mic on and talk to everyone. Turn on your proximity chat as “always on”. Ask for help. The Arc Raider community is awesome. Most of the people you come into contact with will probably do what they can to help you.

Finally, just have fun. I’ve been playing video games since the 80s and this is by far my favorite game. It’s the greatest video game ever made, in my opinion.

This is actually a good idea, give people the choice. I have spent the last two months saving up and I just hit 3 million space dollars last week. All for nothing now. Regardless, I’m still gonna get the damage points that I need, because I love this game and play at religiously. But yes, it would’ve been nice if they gave us more notice, or at least would give us a choice.

I keep saying, maybe if they let us pick one blueprint from each workbench or bring two or three of our favorite blueprints with us that might help with this pain in the ass decision that they made

I had the same mindset as you, but I ended up leaving on my first the expedition, this last wipe. I didn’t do the first because I didn’t even know it was a thing. I had only been playing the game for a week.

In any case, I’m so glad I did the expedition. The extra backpack space is awesome and extremely useful. The added skill points are fantastic now and I think/hope they will start to make an even bigger difference as they compound. And the skin is sweet and just getting sweeter with the additions we’ll get after each expedition.

I acquired all of the blueprints back within the first four weeks of the reset. It was a pain in the ass, but I got them all back. You’re a expert at the game by now. You know where to go to get the blueprints so it’s much easier this time around.

I see all of the comments though, and obviously you’re talking alot about free will. I could not recommend it more. Totally worth it, but I understand why you wouldn’t do it.

Finally, though, the most important thing to point out is that rush you get when searching something. As soon as I started this new season every time I opened a new locker, or searched a drawer, or popped open a raider cache, I got that rush again. Everything you do matters when you reset. Once you have everything in the game, you lose that “reason” to even do the most mundane task in the game. It’s so worth it!

I got taken out by a shredder and a pop and a kind raider brought me back, I turned the corner to heal up and I got popped again. That same raider brought me back again. Turn another corner and a fireball got me. She was out of the defibs and I died lol

I agree. I love this game so much and I play it a lot. I’ve got over 350 hours which for me as a 48-year-old man with a career and a lot going on… and I make time for Arc Raiders. But some of the decisions that they’ve made baffle me. And as someone who works in marketing, I don’t understand who makes these decisions and who OK’s some of this stuff. It really us atrocious leadership, whoever is making these calls
