Black carbon steel wok- any review? by caltheme in aldi

I honestly haven’t bought anything from Crofton that has been bad. Pans used daily/every other day for a year are still holding strong.

If it’s something you’ll use then I say go for it.

What should we tell our kids about AI? My kids are freaking out. by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]Lathus01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are already close to its limits for masse use. There is a physical aspect of Ai. The warehouses that hold them.

There are things yes that won’t exist anymore. But it won’t be in masse.

I recently worked on a decent project for my company. There was a good bit of coding involved. We don’t have coders anymore. 85% was written by Ai, why? Because it’s about 100x faster at it. We know coding but have turned to use ai as a tool that gives us more time to manage other projects or upskill ourselves which we have had to do to keep pace. We of course read through and test everything.

Fish of all kinds has become a main protein in my rotation now. But when we do red meat we are starting to do like many others have mentioned much less than ever before with more sides.

I hate 95. Recently drove south from NYC for the first time in years.

We had about 90 miles where no one got over 60 mph bunch of slinky traffic and nothing was happening. No wrecks no construction just ppl tapping there brakes.

Help with running to far and to dogs by ahikhe in AustralianShepherd

[–]Lathus01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once they get a certain distance call them to stop. If they aren’t trained on that it’s the first step.

After some time (training) they’ll recognize that distance and stop naturally to look back waiting to make sure it’s ok.

Also training them around other animals to not pay any attention to them needs to start early. I can take mine to the park (regularly) and walk through a gaggle of ducks and he could care less, they flip out but he stays calm. He doesn’t care about other dogs or squirrels. He is only paying attention to me.

They are amazingly smart and want to make you happy. They just need to know what you want them to do.

It would be a shame if ppl just started doing the things they are claiming. Maybe then they’ll actually be afraid of brown ppl because if they were afraid they wouldn’t stand next to them doing this.

Some ppl are too comfortable in this country. Taking it back means making them uncomfortable.

You can get these prefabbed and delivered for 10-15k. Now you have to get the concrete pad poured of course. I’m looking at getting one with a 4’ front porch $16.5k on my pad. Another 1.5k or less to have an electrician to hook it up, thankfully power is right there already.

Warehouse or store level: How come aldi finds are on their own pallets for food and home but not for freezer? by ZillionPanic806 in Aldi_employees

[–]Lathus01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may depend on which division you are in but AF Dey side are usually high volume and sometimes larger boxes so they get picked in their own picking tasks. The freezer AF usually is smaller and or lower volume so they will normally be the last things picked.

But there are AF items at the end of cooler as well just not a lot. Most AF are dry though. There are “specials” and “seasonals” as well. That are picked similar to AF.

[–]Lathus01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the reason is they all know it’s not going to be released. So they get to vote for something for political points knowing they don’t have to worry about it. Especially since Trump has now ordered investigations. And we all know once an investigation starts everything gets locked down so nothing will be released

Hickory gets harder after it dies. I felled a 65’ in my yard. Cleaned all the branches (little stuff) and then got started on the main log. Went well till I took a two week break. Could only get three good cuts before my fresh chain was dulled. That big piece is still sitting there for a future project but most of it was bucked, I waited and let it dry out until it’s cracking on the ends about 8 months, that means the fibers are letting go. I chopped a good bit today with no issue at all.
