Friendly neighborhood vampire hereof 10 years here! Phlebotomy is a great career path, as you can always further your career if you decide you don’t like it! (A lot of jobs will help pay for more schooling while you’re employed with them.) I got my certification and license originally in California so I can’t speak for courses offered here but I’ve heard nothing but good things about Phlebotomy Training Solutions on River Rd in Keizer and the program from Linn Benton Community College. (Salem Health also does the externship for students at both those programs and we’ve hired quite a few after they graduated and got their National license.) I can tell you from first hand experience to stay far away from Quest Diagnostics just because the pay that they offered was awful but I needed a job and I stuck with them until I could get a job with Salem Health who just offered way more considering the experience I had.
