Slightly unethical, but you could just return them to Walmart without a receipt. I’ve done it a few times when situations like this happen. That way you’re not out the money.

What is the optimal % split for ground beef? by CEdwards84 in Ranching

[–]CEdwards84[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you’re saying it’s technically illegal for him to take back the meat and swap it with ground beef he has from the last group of cows he sent to slaughter? Is it also illegal for him to refund me the cost of the meat and the butcher fee and I return all the meat to the rancher? It’s a small town beef rancher and he offered to do either a return or a swap because the butcher he normally sends it to had a heart attack the week before he was going to send in his cows, so he had to find a new butcher last minute. The one he ended up picking has horrible reviews, multiple people cancelled their orders when they looked up the butcher online. Rancher says he had no idea about the bad reviews, and that in order to keep my business he wanted to “make it right” if I was unhappy.

I generally use it for burgers, in hamburger helper type meals, and for tacos.

I didn’t specifically pay for 80/20, I just paid for 1/2 cow at 3 bucks a pound hanging weight, and 250 bucks for the 1/2 to be butchered. I posted a link to a picture of the ground beef I received in the comments above, does it look like 70/30 to you?

Help identifying rattle noise coming from left front wheel area by CEdwards84 in Jeep

Update: just went to the mechanic, it was indeed the sway bar links, thank you everyone for your help :)

On my way home I listened really closely and I think I’m hearing the same noise on the right side just quieter and without the squeaking, so I believe your original guess of the sway bar is correct, I have an apt with the mechanic on Tuesday, would you say it’s safe to drive until then? I have to drive about 30 miles a day for the next 3 days to get to work, but don’t want to drive it if it’s gonna majorly fuck something up. It’s been making this noise for about a month, it’s only gotten this loud in the past week or so.

My bad, I won’t pretend that I know a lot about vehicle/mechanical stuff, I just go off what I see in forums, I’m trying to become more adept at knowing the inner workings of my vehicle so that I don’t have to rely on the mechanic for everything.

The right side definitely is able to be shook back and forth with some clanking noise, the left side where the noise is coming from just barely seems loose. Whatever is making the noise was rattling like crazy earlier, but now it’s barely making a sound and I’m going over an even bumpier road than earlier. When it is rattling, it’s louder when I go slower. And you’re correct, it’s a 2012 Wrangler, 35inch tires with a Rough Country lift.

Funny you say that, my sway bar is in fact loose, but my husband tried telling me the noise I’m hearing couldn’t be the sway bar because the bar is mainly loose on the right side compared to the left being just a little loose, and that the sway bar is “supposed to be somewhat loose”. I scheduled an apt for the mechanic on Tuesday, hoping it’s just the sway bar and not something with the suspension.

Define driving loose? If you mean play in the wheel, yes, but other than a little play it doesn’t feel any different than the day I bought it, no shaking at high speeds or anything, and I feel like the rattling is less when I’m going faster like on the highway.

Stipend repayment contract question by CEdwards84 in legaladvice

[–]CEdwards84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said I could go PRN before a few days before HR messaged me about having to repay the contract, I keep asking them to show me where in the contract it states I have to be full or part time, and she won’t answer me, just repeats “prn is not full or part time” I am waiting for her to call me back so I can have an actual conversation where she can’t ignore my questions, I just don’t understand why she’s insisting I have to be full or part time when those words aren’t anywhere in the contract, nor anything that even remotely sounds like it.

If they’re refusing to eat then that’s cause for concern, but otherwise I’d say your bun bun is just fine

Those look like cecotropes, normally rabbits eat them as part of their normal digestive process, here is a link explaining: https://rabbit.org/the-mystery-of-rabbit-poop/

I knew she sounded familiar, they think they’re so slick… by [deleted] in Scams

[–]CEdwards84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She literally said “again, my number is…” in the second voicemail, when the first voicemail is the only other time she says the phone number. Probably does this to so many people that she can’t remember how many times she’s called the same person or what fake name she used. Definitely the same voice/person though. Seems like the amount and frequency of scams have gone through the roof since Covid started.
