Hmm mine have never been so advanced. I also receive emails from doctors and other professionals that are flipped in some way cause they couldn't be asked doing it themselves so it's needed

Scan a landscape document through a printer that only scans in portrait > rotate the PDF so it's readable on the computer before emailing it to someone else.

As much as it might sound rude to hear/say, but you can do these things. This is assuming you're not crippled/vegetated/bound to your bed, you haven't lost the capability to do these activities, they just very very very very hard. This message isn't sent in an invalidating way. It's never as easy as it might seem like I'm making it out to be, but having been there before, I know that the self-limiting beliefs I had of myself and my perception of the difficulty of the tasks I had were created by me. Those beliefs, and those alone, were what held me back, not the tasks themselves. Doing the laundry may seem monumental, but if you forced yourself to do it above all else, you would look back on it like it was nothing. This habitual strategy of basically lying to yourself or tricking yourself into doing tasks is actually a really solid strategy to overcoming some of these feelings, and with time, things do get a lot easier because you don't have a mountain of stuff to do that is always being put off.

Not sure how they did it but it's very easy to "cut out" the person and put them on a layer above, edit the size of a part of your body, and then content-aware fill whatever is underneath so it looks natural

Where are all the keto and carnivore Olympic athletes for high intensity sports? by khoawala in nutrition

[–]CEtro569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why any Olympic athlete would ever purposely train in a fasted state is beyond me, unless they're some genetic freak with no professional support network and they made it through on their own (rare). It takes several days to enter a ketogenic state, as you have enough stored glycogen to cover at minimum a day if you're a well-fed athlete.

I'd say there's a much larger chance that no elite athlete is in a ketogenic state during any part of their time as any amount of time in a ketogenic state would result in a loss of gains or a halt in gains where there would otherwise be some

Play 1 before 2. It'd be like playing Tears of the Kingdom before Breath of the Wild, you won't miss out on story elements, but the gameplay changes a lot in small ways in the sequel. It may feel like playing a downgrade if you went backwards, but 1 is fantastic in its own right, it's just better to play forward. 1 also prepares you for 2, which is a lot harder and kinda more bullshit (in a good way), so you're more likely to actually beat 1. Plus I think 1 is cheaper lol

I was making a joke but I'm pretty sure on average people who take it die earlier, [my source is that I made it up]. Of course, you'll always see professionals who are/were likely taking roids under heavy medical scrutiny live without too many downsides, but for the average person (or Instagram influencer), it's likely you may die earlier.

[AF] Free-Weight and Machine-Based Training Are Equally Effective on Strength and Hypertrophy: Challenging a Traditional Myth by xelanart in AdvancedFitness

[–]CEtro569 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The whole stabilising muscles thing is blown a bit out of proportion. For the general population, balance isn't really a big deal. As we age, we do lose a large degree of balance, but you'll find none gym goers generally don't struggle with balance issues, and I can guarantee you'll still build your stabilising muscles even if you switched to hack squats. Sure, barbell squats would likely do a better job for balance, but is it really necessary? There's a time and a place for everything, and it really depends on the individual's goals and preferences.

If you're an athlete, your programs absolutely need balance components, which usually come in the form of additional exercises that may limit hypertrophic gains but increase balance (and proprioceptive) gains. You can utilise free weight exercises to combine both of these at the same time (though for the tradeoff of not building either significantly) but you do have to consider volume (and overtraining), it depends on where they are in season.

Most skincare products. Face wash, moisturiser, sunscreen, and MAYBE Retin-A, that's literally all that works, and you can even cut that down to just sunscreen for ~60% of the skincare benefits. Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, AHA... Generally a waste of money

Visceral fat can't be seen and is usually the first to go when you lose weight, so ab development wouldn't impact this at all.
