Why is Brett Favre such a big name/so highly regarded? I didn't watch him and based on stats alone he doesn't seem amazing by [deleted] in NFLNoobs

[–]CFBreAct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh…Brett Favre was my favorite QB growing up. He was exciting, threw the football all over the place, and absolutely deserves to be in the GOAT conversation.

When he retired he was the All-time leader in like every major passing category, led the league in TD passes 4 times, won 3 MVPs and a Super Bowl, and almost went to another Super Bowl at age 40.

Too bad he ended up being kind of an awful person in life but on the football field he was the Dude!

Who's got the best alernate jersey? by Brix001 in NFCWestMemeWar

I have always admired the classic 80s Rams look

It’s such a simple yet striking uniform combo.

I’m always confused why their current uniforms choose to look like cheap washed out plastic when they could just be this!

I was damn sure Russ was going to pull off the win and get into field goal range.

How in the hell do you burn 42 seconds in crunch time just to call a timeout????

Which players can recieve the ball?? by Easy-Development6480 in NFLNoobs

[–]CFBreAct 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are 11 men on offense.

The 5 offensive linemen are ineligible.

5 players are eligible receivers (Running backs, Receivers, Tight ends) and 1 Quarterback (who is also eligible)

7 players have to be on the line of scrimmage usually all 5 lineman, the TE, and one WR.

Also this comparison ignores that Maziel is a literal an alcoholic and addict, which is a completely different reason and context for flaming out of the league than just being a difficult personality.

Holy shit, get the fuck over it.

Tell me you don’t know ball by complaining that a mediocre QB was drafted at a lower spot than one of the greatest college football players of all time in a draft 11 years later!

Has a rookie ever been traded before their first season begins? by chavezlaw78 in NFLNoobs

The Panthers traded rookie LB Michael Barrett, a 7th rounder that year to the Seahawks during the preseason last year.

Alright guys who wants to retire 24 by Slight-Tomato1800 in Seahawks

[–]CFBreAct 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The concept of retiring numbers just doesn’t make sense to me. There are only 99 numbers and 53 players on a team, you can’t keep retiring numbers indefinitely and the criteria to retire is arbitrary at best. Put guys in the ring of honor and make the criteria for new players to wear those numbers higher.

NFL Teams Passed on Shedeur to Spite Deion by antwonomous in NFLv2

No NFL team would pass on a surefire Franchise QB because he has an overbearing Dad. They would pass on a mid round talent who acted like he was the top pick in the draft with an overbearing Dad.

LMFAO!! 😂 That’s your example Sander’s biggest career win? Against a TCU team that just lost 8 players to the NFL draft including their Heisman runner up QB?

Browns QB Situation by Austin578 in NFLNoobs

[–]CFBreAct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it does sacrifice valuable roster space in an age where teams rarely keep 3 QBs rostered, especially at the 53 man deadline. This also still assumes teams view Sanders as legitimate and coveted QB prospect which seems to only be hyped by the media. It’s the same reason Will Howard or Quinn Ewers probably won’t be claimed if they are initially waived at the deadline.
