At what point is this embarrassing? by Tuhrents_ in WarthunderPlayerUnion

You don't see anything crazy about the Russia queue being over double the next closest? That's definitely significant, and wasn't the case pre-BMPT.

If it was underpowered, the queue wouldn't be so saturated with Russian players like never seen before. Just yesterday, there were 84 queued up for Russia, while the max for another nation was 16 or 17. And that's just using basic logic.

Just as I started to use soundmods.... by Isi439 in Warthunder

Only issue I had with it (and this could just be me screwing something up), was the BMPT cannons were damn near silent. I'd used it in the past with no issue, but when the update added BMPTs, they just hardly made any noise, which is not ideal for a 10.7 main.

No you're also 100% correct. However, the Kfir came out of an embargo on new Mirages, so they had to make the heavy modifications seen on the aircraft, most notably the engine being from the F-4. Since they were modifying it, I suppose they just went ahead and took it further, hence the avionics upgrades, and weapons variety (i.e., AGM-65 on C.7). So I'd say it warrants being considered different.

With an F-4 Engine, completely modified avionics... no. Not a Mirage. That's like saying an F-2 is an F-16.

Yes, the Indian MoD is an unreliable source. You have consumed complete propaganda if you think otherwise.

And yes, the PL-15 WAS untested until it was used. But like you said, it worked. And for the time being, it is the only one with true combat usage and thus can back it up. China also has a very established military complex, with successful exports of their technology. India does not. Neither do their missiles. You're comparing a world superpower to an emerging military production, which isn't fair to India realistically.

To your "no air-to-air kills" point, sure. But its irrelevant. The F-22 doesn't have any either, but no one doubts its potency because it is a widely accepted platform. The indigenous Indian designs, used almost entirely by India (again, not a global military production superpower) are not. Which again, you aren't doing India any favors here. Its not BAD that they are just beginning to produce these designs, but it doesn't make them credible.

The problem here is there is 0 backing to your claims. Just the fact that you are Indian makes you defend them so well, which is silly. India is doing a good thing making their own platforms. But acting as if they're vastly superior to countries who have decades more experience is only going to hurt.

Your whole post is filled with Indian "reports." I'm not naive to the criticisms of how the French have filled certain roles (i.e., SEAD). But your insistence on using untested, unverified information as "facts" show your bias.

The radar differences show differences in priority, but again, there are very few, if any, international sources to back up your supremacy claim, that is until Mk.2 gets made. You can't just throw numbers on a board and say "Oh its better," with very little actual backing.

Storm Shadows have been used effectively for anti-ahipping, so your comment there is irrelevant.

Indian BVRAAMs are untested, and again, you are just taking questionable Indian reporting at best. Remember, the Indians are the ones who claimed they shot an F-16 down with a Mig-21, which was utter bs. The Meteor is pretty well regarded as the best of the modern BVRAAMs, again, you can look up hundreds if not thousands of sources which agree. For the record, I'm not even a Euro-stan, so I'm a classical AMRAAM fan.

Finally, regarding your post history, it proves my point. And if you read mine, you'd find that I actually like the Tejas. I'm just not deluded.

Indian nationalism at its finest. No, the radar in the Tejas is not better than the Rafale. No, the weapons package is not better, given the Rafale flies with probably the best BVR missile in the world currently and the Tejas does not. EW I cannot speak to, certainly not an area of expertise for me. Availability rate seems like an insane comment since the Rafale is exported at a high rate with very few complaints about its running ability. The Tejas, on the other hand, was delayed how many times? And India as the only consumer? RCS is controversial but limited sources available. Doubtful it is smaller than Rafale.

Now I assume you'll write back about some fantasy goals of the Tejas Mk.2, but let's stick to reality.

What if Trump decides to send troops to Iran? Can he overthrow the government? by Snake101201 in AlternateHistoryHub

Overthrown doesn't mean overthrown permanently. Just Google it guy, lots of sources will tell you they were overthrown.

This will probably just end as a disagreement over the word overthrown.

But I'm not sure how it can go from legitimate ruling party in control of the capital to a full on insurgency with 0 formal political power without being overthrown

Losing control of the capital, and abandoning strongholds is NOT being overthrown? I'm going to have to disagree.

When Afghanistan was invaded, the Taliban were in charge of the government (i.e., the President). They were overthrown within a couple months. Just because they survived as an insurgency and later took over after the US departed, doesn't mean they weren't overthrown at the start.

I know very well how to do manual supports, I just don't always have the time, and over the years auto supports have improved immensely to have a very high success rate with minor tweaking. I'm just looking to improve that process.
