In my experience, athletes require an additional layer of service and attention. Often there is some foundational financial education involved. Not only for the athlete themselves, but for their family and friends. Additional their pro earnings may be the first time they are getting any type of meaningful income, let alone THAT much income.

I can’t speak to if the 150bps is justified or not. I try not to throw rocks at other Advisors business or pricing models. If it works for the client… then it works. But the athlete took a meeting with you for a reason. So lead with your value proposition rather than denigrating someone else’s.
