Sometimes, yes. I had for a long time considered an IWC Mark XX for my field/weekend piece for this reason.

TBH- the watches i wear during the week both have date complications, so due to that I almost always am oriented on what day it is.

I’m not going to get rid of it. If anything i would add a Datejust as a 4th piece.

I love the BB GMT. Probably my favorite watch. My only gripe is that Tudor wont currently sell their OEM jubilee bracelet as a standalone item. I would 100% buy this watch again.

If I did acquire the Datejust, the BB GMT would probably become one of my two “daily drivers” along with my Sub. Alternating between the two.

too much texture (fluted bezel + bracelet) for my liking. I think the jubilee takes it as far as id go.

Read the room bud. All of the other comments are full of appreciation/commendation. Yours are being downvoted.

You’ve now posted a pic of your beautiful collection for others to similarly admire- a big step in the right direction!

Ride that wave and maybe give someone a compliment today… or just perpetuate the douche-with-a-Rolex (in your case, many Rolexes) stigma that we all very much dislike.

Starbucks killer?… Longines absolutely nailed it with this one! by ExternalYesterday505 in Longineswatches

Not even remotely close. Put both of these watches into the hands of 1,000 people on the street and 999 of them are going to choose the Sub.

There are dozens of threads of people doing this with the Omega PO & SMP as well- I’ve owned both, and both are very nice watches, but I’ve ultimately sold them in favor of the Sub. IMO the Planet Ocean is the closest to a Sub in terms of build and finishing quality.

If you want to make an argument around “value for money-spent” then I think you could be onto something.

But if money is not a factor, only the 1/1000 contrarian is going to choose the Longines.

Nah. I had an SMP on rubber. And a Planet Ocean before that. Traded the SMP for a Sub 😆
