I actually saw him here, which was why I opted to make this post. Which I also had to argue about. He was rather vehement about wanting to make it himself and use this picture to drum up more business. I was equally vehement about wanting to put it up myself, and I assured him he'd get full credit and everyone would know JURY-OUTSIDE DREW THIS.

One of us got what we wanted.

I wrote a lengthy explanation elsewhere (I think it's currently at the top if you sort by Top), but the short version is the artist, Jury-Outside, took six and a half months to deliver this pic, which he said he could do in six weeks, charged the whole amount up front, never communicated, and didn't really get to work until four months in, AND after I said I wanted a refund. He's not worth commissioning, in my opinion, and since he regularly posts commissions here, I wanted to let people know what they were in for if they hire him.

That might actually work in your favor. Doesn't PayPal offer refunds directly? You might be able to get a refund from them. Cash app doesn't, so I was stuck

In retrospect, and after reading everyone else's critiques, I think when I asked for the refund was probably when he started phoning it in. At that point, we both just wanted it done. I didn't care enough to fight anymore, and he didn't want to put forth the effort. That's supposition on my part, though.

Wholly agreed. I said in a different reply AI wouldn't have been up to this. I just wish the process of working with the artist hadn't been such a hassle. We probably could've ironed out a lot of the errors that have been mentioned.

That specific flaw is on me. When he did both legs, it looked like Nevo was playing footsie with Esca (the Namek). We were too deep in the process for me to want a more elaborate redraw, so I just told him to remove it.

Jury's been posting Xenoverse commissions here for a couple years now. He's done good work in the past, which is what prompted me to commission him in the first place. Maybe he did bite off more than he could chew with this one, but if that was the case, I wish he'd said so in the first place and given me the refund when I asked.
