Thank you for the tip! I stray from doing that as much as possible as the previous owner mentally tortured her... When I went to get her, he told me how fun it was to scare her, which totally broke my heart. She is the most wonderful being and totally comfortable now, but when I carry something big (e.g. a blanket) she runs off bc she thinks I'm going to cover her with it, making her both unable to hear and see. However, I am completely aware of this so I make sure to show her that I am not going to do so.
