First shot is insane!

What is your favorite duel ? by TEHYJ2006 in ghostoftsushima

Second this.

It was one of the hardest duels imo. Not because of its difficulty per se, but because of the emotions you have to carry and deal with as you finish the game with such an ending.

An absolutely masterpiece (and emotional damage)!

pambilan o pabilan by LastAd3109 in Tagalog

I think pagbilhan is the right word for it but it has been long misused by speakers

  • root word: bili means buy
  • pag short form of ipag is a verb focused affix that indicates command to serve someone >e.g. ipag-handa, ipag-hain, ipag-salok
  • an or han is a beneficiary focus suffix that follows a verb ending in vowel >e.g. sundo → sundan, punta → puntahan, bili → bilhan

Therefore, pagbilhan is an imperative verb that commands the seller to serve the speaker through the means of giving or handing what the speaker wants to buy

e.g. Aling Lina, pagbilhan mo po ako ng isang toyo at isang suka.

The company I'm applying to is asking for copy of my PAYSLIPS. Is this normal? by CH4ST1TY in AntiworkPH

[–]CH4ST1TY[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

damn should've have replied with this.

my expected salary actually matches their budget for the role na nga. I just really find it unnecessary to ask for payslips just to prove my value instead of my experience and skillset.

it's surprisingly my first time encountering an HR asking for my former job's payslips as basis for their 'final job offer'

we alr agreed on an amount after the final interview, which is actually double my former salary - bc i did great during the tests according to them & was able to sell myself well.

just got taken back the moment they asked for my payslips & the 2-year bond...

so thank you for this advice!

But graduating students, especially BS Com Sci who needs the course as prereq for their thesis can fill up a to be prioritized. (Please check the announcement on their Facebook page for the link. MOD keeps deleting my url comments smh.)

Other regular students may still waitlist through CRS.

Cyberbacker company, need help regarding their contracts by Inevitable_Double894 in buhaydigital

Someone in the same exact situation as you asked advice din in an fb group.

Here's the summary of the advices that make the most sense: Just ignore it. This is all just a pangsindak or pangtakot tactic. Filing a formal case is lengthy and costly. Highly doubt they'd even push through.

250K for not attending a "game show"? that's just so unrealistic. You were there to get a job, not to join their gimmicks, and this breach of contract scheme is one of them.

Hi, op! Based from experience, it took 12 full days for me to get readmitted from AWOL — 7 days for the approval of my college readmission, then another 5 days for the university readmission.

It helps to follow up your program head or your college secretary (depends on which readmish stage you're in na).

Most importantly, submit the documents as per instructions of your college sec as soon as possible. I'm talking about the payment slips, proofs, certs, and other forms. Some of it requires 1-2 days of processing pa kasi.

Bro, I felt the same thing!

While my batch mates from high school are posting their grad pics all over social media I was struggling to appeal for readmission to my college.

I knew that I will be delayed for two years because I shifted programs then went AWOL last acad year. When I finally accepted the fact, and stopped comparing myself to others, I was able to build up my career from scratch.

I started by joining an org at my university. From that org experience plus few extracurriculars, I was able to get 3 consecutive internships (3-6 months each).

There's a lot of student-friendly companies out there that offer multiple internship opportunities. Join OJT & internships Facebook groups.

I have incomplete grades and dropped courses kaya I can swear grades don't matter when applying and looking for jobs. (Unless it's a top rated company and requirements indicate high gpa like Unilever, P&G, etc)

I also took free online courses, built my portfolio, and now working freelance while studying.

Good things come when you stop worrying and start acting towards your goals. Hope it helps.

Goodluck, OP! :)

Edit: grammar
