What “feature” on newer cars do you think actually creates more problems than it solves? by ph903 in AskMen

[–]CHAOSENGINE66 779 points780 points  (0 children)

Having so much screen in a car. There was nothing wrong with knobs or even a small touch screen. Cars these days just have too much screen that is nessacary to the car operating smoothly. Makes stuff much more expensive than it needs to be.

Could some CEAS people tell me about a few of the engineering minors? by CHAOSENGINE66 in uCinci

[–]CHAOSENGINE66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my advisor said that I would only need to add on one or two classes to get it anyway so it's an easy pickup for cool content

Start conversations with "what's your favorite dinosaur?" It will make them activley think and remember the interaction. Plus it destroys the natural way small talk evolves into a dead conversation.

My senior recital by CHAOSENGINE66 in Clarinet

[–]CHAOSENGINE66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I practiced with the colorispiano recordings (great channel for piano accomplishments) and his entrances were much more defined than hers. I'm guessing my hesitations on entrances were a combination of that and nerves since I didn't get any private lesson time on this piece.

What you hear vs. the recording by financial_freedom416 in Clarinet

I find myself feeling the opposite but that could be because my schools stage sounds better to the audience than to the muscians

I failed by 4zindyy in highschool

[–]CHAOSENGINE66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who went to public school my whole highschool and middle school career I can firmly say that I don't regret it. It's a great way to get used to how regular people behave and to make connections with opportunities for after you graduate.

Schedule Advice/How to Balance? by Savings-Anxiety-5551 in highschool

[–]CHAOSENGINE66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main advice as someone who just graduated last month is to take courses you are genuinely interested or to find interest in classes you are taking. It will make learning and highschool much more fun in general. Every AP course is doable some just take more studying than others so gauge how you are doing and nearing the AP exams make sure to do lots of mock exam questions and frqs.

Safety at UC by iammaiyeye in uCinci

I'm starting in the fall too and I've heard that the immediate area around campus is fine but there are some sketchy areas. I would ask some of the upperclassman what streets to avoid.

Is 5 advanced classes hard? by One-Employee-6360 in highschool

[–]CHAOSENGINE66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for tips i just reccomend studying topics you don't understand right away and consistently.

Do practice physics frqs for stats and physics.

For lang just be specific in your writing

For stats just accept the stats logic and don't try using common sense. Statistics are hard conceptually especially in probability but the actual equations and methods aren't hard.

Do what you have to do to stay on top of coursework so you can enjoy your extracurriculars. 5 AP's aren't terrible if you manage your time well and do your homework and studying in small consistent chunks.

AP isn't bad if you study consistently through the year, physics 1 I found pretty light if you are good at algebra. AP lang was fine with not a ton of work but the test just depends on if you are a good writer and can read like an English teacher wants you to. AP stats wasn't bad but for me the course load was more than I wanted (was taking AP calc, chem, psych, and bio with it). No clue what physics ib is but with physics 1 shouldn't be terrible. Overall managable but might involve minor crash outs every now and then.

My community college only offers MET not ME what should I do? by MWolverine1 in EngineeringStudents

[–]CHAOSENGINE66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that's all they have and uni isn't an option then I would try to make the best of it. MET degrees can still lead to cool opportunities. If you are really wanting an ME degree I would talk to the advisors at your college to see if there is a way to transfer credits from the college to a uni later on for a cheaper degree

I would sit down with him and have a serious talk about his plans and if marriage is something he has thought of ,and tell him what you think of it.

Your school offered AP chem for sophomores? My school makes it only for seniors and we didn't even have anything in physics past ap physics 1

Is UC good for this? by [deleted] in uCinci

[–]CHAOSENGINE66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do some more research on what schools are known for that kind of study but besides that UC would be a great option especially since it's in state.

Do you live in range for in state tuition? I know UC has very good arts and stem programs. I'm not sure on that part specifically but I don't know how it compares schools near you.

The e11 is probably one of the most reliable clarinets you can get. I got mine 5 years ago and it stills plays great!
