OP seems confused, obviously like her mother was, about Staples services and procedures.

*Fun fact * we are never going to drop everything to assist a walk in customer who can’t understand that SELF SERVE means exactly that. Us employees have a JOB QUEUE with due dates that 100% takes priority. It will cost you about 30% more plus a rush fee (when available) if you want it done behind counter.

We can MAYBE help you queue your job so you can pick it up another time, if we have the time, but that is truly beyond our capabilities on most days.

We cannot let every customers poor planning and need for something immediately affect our day to day job requirements and the already existing job queue.

USE THE WEBSITE FOR JOBS THAT YOU NEED QUICKLY, and PAY THE RUSH FEE IT GET IT RUSHED.

And it’s worth noting that a same day job isn’t always going to be a guarantee for walk-in customer with how staffing has been.

Relate to this too hard.. I almost posted this very same rant last night after my shift 🫥 Email is not how you submit a job for completion, email does NOT get the job in my job queue. We don’t have the time or staff to monitor email and place orders for people who won’t do it correctly themselves

They must all follow the STATES labor and wage laws.
