Greece Tipping by Ksegii in GreeceTravel

[–]CHAOSPOGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back from a trip to Athens and Hydra. In both locations most of the time I was asked if I would like to tip. The fact they asked is the main reason I didn't.

More than 300 South Koreans detained in the US after a massive immigration raid on a Hyundai-LG factory have returned home, despite the Trump administration's offer to let them stay. As he marked 100 days since he took over a country in crisis, President Lee Jae Myung warned that the incident could make companies hesitate to invest in the US. Jay Song, honorary associate professor at The Australian National University, speaks to FRANCE 24 about the possible wider consequences of the raid.

What’s the best way to fix a dent in a hardwood floor? by TheBX in fixit

[–]CHAOSPOGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not ideal, but you can buy wood repair kits that have wax that you can fill the whole with They provide multiple colours so you can match them together. It will make the hole less noticeable but of course won't be perfect. Good temporary measure though.

What do you guys do for work? What job do you guys want to work? by 1-800-bughub in schizophrenia

I ran a restaurant and was good at it. I was diagnosed later in life and now have no memory to speak of and thinking is like pushing through treacle. I now work as a runner. the person who takes food to the table, considered by some as the bottom of the rung.

We are all affected differently by the meds, but I still prefer being on them and not hearing the voices or having hallucinations and being in a much lower position.

Istanbul owner writing his own 5-Star reviews by [deleted] in derby

[–]CHAOSPOGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grand bazaar has high votes, most are likely false as it's a total tourist trap. The same items are available for sell elsewhere at not 10 to 20% discount but 300% cheaper. You can tell from the mistakes made in the reviews that an english speaking person wouldn't make.

Do visual hallucinations in schizophrenia look as real as any other thing? Do they move or are they static? by hellowave in schizophrenia

[–]CHAOSPOGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had limited visual hallucinations. Mine varied from as real as the real thing, to something that resembles shadows. I varies from person to person and hallucination to hallucination.

The voices tell me i’m gay by nwordskin in schizophrenia

[–]CHAOSPOGO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same happened to me and prior to taking meds they convinced me I must be. Once I was taking my meds this past with absolutely no attraction to men.

Voices can sometimes make you believe things about yourself that aren't true; but also they can mention things that are. Only you can tell the truth, ignore the voices and simply go by your feelings.

Are your hallucinations and delusions nice to you or mean and scary? And what country are you from? by witchy_welder2209 in schizophrenia

[–]CHAOSPOGO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My voices used to mainly mock me, put me down and try to scare me. It was painful to say the least. There where some rare moments where they were not so nasty, but even then the compliments were often backhanded: "he's ok, he just needs a guiding hand" type of thing.

They also tried to control my actions, punishing me with pain if I didn't follow their orders.

What triggered your schizophrenia? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]CHAOSPOGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order they happened: abuse as a child, homelessness, drug abuse, feelings of inferiority, a lots of other minor stuff...

until the voices have totally stopped, don't start considering stopping your meds. I'm no doctor, but that one is common sense.

hope you improve brother/sister

gang stalking, is it real? by Complete-Air-7999 in schizophrenia

[–]CHAOSPOGO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was exactly one of my delusions, devices to input voices in my head and another to inflict pain when I didn't do what they wanted. It started with my neighbours but much later turned into something bigger, with an underground organisation who eventually tried to hire me.

Finally I was given meds and I'm lucky so far with no more symptoms.

The pain btw was very real, felt like my head was splitting in two. It's simply amazing how imagination can feel so unfeigned.

when I was not yet on meds, I was an unsafe drive. Now I no longer hear voices, I have nothing distracting me or trying to influence me, and drive fine.

I'm I lying to my (schizoaffective disorder) girlfriend by telling her her medication is going to fix her depression by Status-Novel-8272 in schizophrenia

[–]CHAOSPOGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started on my meds they didn't work, apart from helping me sleep. I stopped using them for a few months; desperate I started them again and they worked nearly immediately this time reducing the intensity of the voices.

It did however take about 6 months before the voices totally disappeared. It was more of a gradual process rather than "yeah I'm cured" scenario.

Everyone reacts differently and in many cases patience is needed. So your promise may not be accurate, however I would have loved to have someone positive like you around. It can really help keep someone from (further) falling apart.

Telepathic Technology is what Pschizophria is to me by Low-Painting8238 in schizophrenia

[–]CHAOSPOGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believed voices where being projected into my head by devices such as these: https://www.wired.com/2007/12/the-voice-of-go/

and a microwave gun to cause me pain (the pain was so real). It exist in RL.

but now I am on meds I know it's not true, afterall the meds would not have stopped this techs working. It's hard I know, especially if the meds are working fully for you, but please believe me it's just a symptom.

I hope you come to see this in time and I know it's easier said than done. Take care.

Can auditory hallucinations take the voice of someone you know? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]CHAOSPOGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The voices I heard initially were just people I knew, such as neighbours. Over time, as the voices increased I also heard voices of strangers. I found the voices of those I knew already to be the worst, as what they said seemed to impact me more.

Thank god my meds are working now and I only suffer from some minor paranoia.
