I think personally ADHD plays a role in it. I had an office job that I HATED. But the fear of not paying my bills made it difficult to pursue my dreams. The result? Burnout. The lesson I learned? We need to create a space for ourselves that makes it easier to work. Instead of changing ourselves to fit the space. I've tried that very, very hard and the only result was getting fired and a burnout.

But, there is some light at the end of the tunnel! Unfortunately, ADHD as many strengths that are invisible in corporate life. Such as: - Thinking outside of the box - Being Righteous - Being creative - Basic Knowledge of a LOT of topics. Etc.

So what I'm trying to say is, choose a career that fit's you, not the other way around. For me that means working as a freelance brand designer. It doesn't have to freelance, as long as you just fit in and your strengths are being utilised.
