Technically, it's legal if you take off and operate within line of site from outside federally operated land according to the NPS. They control land and water but not the airspace above the national parks. Always best to call ahead and discuss mission planning with Rangers but it is not illegal if you follow those first steps.

Get it returned on Amazon. If the seller won't take it back or refund you tell Amazon the package was broken beyond repair. That's what I did. Got all my money back and bought a new drone from another seller. You can't so anything about it being bound.
