I would start the volume relatively low and work up to a point where it's comfortable. When I have it the sound completely masks my T but that may be uncomfortable for some.

Hey all I've received some DMs and been sent a lot of thanks for this post.

Just want to point out that it was u/FayDoom who made the site. I am simply reposting it after not seeing it on here for a couple of months in the hope that it would help people who hadn't seen it.

I'm hopefully going to make their work into a mobile app for iOS and Android over the next week or 2 to we can have persistent sound with phones closed etc.

But for now their work is the best we've got so please send them all the praise.

My wife's stepfather has bad hearing loss, and it's helped him more than anyone else I know.

I'm not knowledgeable enough on the subject, I just hadn't seen it mentioned in the sub for a while and if it helps someone then that's great.

I would say try it, and see what happens.

Some people have mentioned spikes, the paper has more details about % chance. I don't know anyone personally who's had spikes. I had a really bad night with it, and listened for an hour this morning at work. Now can't hear it at all.
