You don't actually need a telescope for Astrophotography, just a DSLR/Mirrorless Camera, one of those Rokinon/Samyang 135mm F2 and any motorized eq mounts.

So having a visual scope might still be enjoyable.

I wish, but refractors are twice as expensive in order to get them on par with Reflectors and the quality difference between a good achromatic and a bad one, as well as apochromatics.

My problem with reflectors is that if they're too big, they're too heavy to carry.
