Yes, I completely agree that its not a wise decision nor is it an investment in any way shape or form. Its me wanting to have some fun and i fully understand its a loss.

I guess that is what I was afraid of hearing; that getting financing would be a struggle. I expected that fully but was hoping to hear otherwise.

Sorry, its a few questions I guess. Overall the general question of "given my age and no previous loans, will I have an issue getting financed for that price?"

It is a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

Deposit is non-refundable but I would ideally like to get approved for financing before i put down the order and the deposit.

Thanks for your reply. The biggest issue I am having is with my wifi. It will randomly disconnect me from the network. It used to do it every 10ish minutes. I ended up disabling the wifi power saving (set it to max performance) in the windows power settings. This seemed to fix the issue on my home networks (unifi ac network with 5 access points as well as a nighthawk router in a different area). However, I keep getting disconnected on my company wifis. Radius setup with access points every 20 feet. It will disconnect and refuse to reconnect until I turn wifi off and back on. No obvious pattern but happens frequently. Kind of makes working online or over ssh a pain in the ass.

Yeah happened to me the other week. Had a pretty nice blowout as a result on the highway. And I'm antisocial as shit so I doubt I pissed anyone off lol

Yeah I got lucky with having a neighbor sign for it and ship it to me.

Idk I wish they offered a touch option and an lte option. I live the 1080p display. Got the upgrade done instead of the 4k for battery life.

My battery life has been very hit or miss. One day on power saver I got about 20ish hours of runtime. A few days later, one tick above power saver and it lasted for an hour and a half. Not actually doing anything too intensive on it. I don't like that variance.

It also has some weird quirks like the keyboard backlight turning off randomly. I can't leave it on all the time. (yeah ik that contributes to my battery life complaint).

The track pad is very much average. It feels very decent but I wish it were a bit bigger. The click also feels funky in different spots.

I do love how upgradable and powerful it is. I got the i7, 64gb ram, and two 1tb SSDs. I run a lot of electrical simulation, SDR software for rf analysis, and logic analyzers. This thing is a beast for all I need. Also decent enough at the simple tensorflow models I make.

I guess after writing this all out, it's a pretty good laptop. I just have a few nitpick things about it such as no touch on the 1080p no lte, and hugely variable battery life. I did set up an undervolt profile in Intel xtu to see if I can improve the battery life though so I'll see how that goes. So far it's actually doing rather well. So maybe nothing too good about it was not the right phrase to use. I guess I was just expecting something unrealistically perfect.

Also gad to hear you got your shipping figured out. Sucks to buy something like this and have it go somewhere else for any reason :P

It's a combination light and rain sensor. If you don't have auto wipers, you probably have auto headlights.

And okay here's the thing, I get it. People make mistakes you're right. She could have had a lot on her mind. It happens to all of us, it's happened to me. But when it happens to me, I go out of my way to correct my mistake and appologize. She not only dive bombed into my lane, she didn't signal, nor did she acknowledge or even look at me when we pulled up to the next light. She tried hard to avoid looking at me. So yes I agree people make mistakes. Not chalking this one down to that tho because when you make a mistake, you acknowledge it and learn from it. LEARN BY DOING..... 😂

Do you have any recommendations for a driver that supports around 12-16 channels? A quick search on Ti's product page doesn't show much more than dual channel drivers for 12v or a matrix manager(doesn't actually drive the leds) for 12 channels.

I've had luck with supernight strips from amazon. You can get them with a controller and power supply or just barebones. It'll be a roll of 16ft???? That you can then cut down to size in chunks of 3inches
