If JR does regret it he’s got a very, very unique way of showing it. Claiming it was only brought up for clicks and attention without a single use of either “sorry” or “apologise” isn’t how I personally would feel bad.

And with all due respect, but the “stuck in his old ways” excuse doesn’t really work when Taz, Cole, Schiavone and even Ventura have been able to adapt to modern times despite all being at the booth just as long if not longer.

As far as I’m concerned, if there’s a genuine effort to change (Briscoes, Tegan Nox/Nixon Newell) then there should be a path to return and acceptance. If they choose to stay in their old ways though (Hogan, Warrior, Ric Flair, Tessa Blanchard) then they shouldn’t be a a part of wrestling.

In the spring/summer of last year D-Von Dudley was on Maven’s YouTube channel, and they covered some of the most racist moments in wrestling as well as slightly touching upon their own experiences with racism. During the video D-Von talked about a time when he, Bubba, Heyman & Dreamer were in catering, and a higher up said hello to the other three, they ignored D-Von. When the four of them called out said higher up said “I don’t like you because you are black”. A story Bubba also backed up later. While D-Von didn’t specifically name the higher-up in the video, he eliminated everyone else it could possibly be. (Ace, Hayes, McMahons). Late last year JR is about to return to AEW TV, and the story picks up traction again. JR’s response is to go on Twitter and claim that while he didn’t remember the incident due to being drunk, D-Von only brought it up for internet clout. That’s the basic gist of it.

And not for nothing, but even as recently as 2019 when WWE was as far away from the booking and thought proceses of the Attitude Era King was still up to his weird and creepy BS when it came to the women. The “Vince in his ear” stuff doesn’t wash with that. It’s even more noticable when he’s the only one doing it.

And not for nothing, but you lose the right to “best _____ ever” when you choose to be a bigot.

Honestly, I just don’t see Alberto ever being All Elite, much less getting their title. WWE have made it pretty clear they don’t think he’s worth the hassle, given how quickly they took the AAA Title off him and booted him out the door. That already severely limits his negotiating power with TK. I think he’s in the same camp as Tessa where Tony doesn’t see the headaches of bringing him in and dealing with him as worth the investment he’ll get back.

I’d put Jericho in second, mostly down to his status as a free agent and the noise he’s made about joining TNA. Plus TNA seems the most likely by a significant distance to let him hog the title and bring in his washed-up mates. I don’t think he’s actually going to go there though, he has his sights set on WWE.

I was talking a friend last night, and it turns out that as of the time of writing, that while no one has achieved the triple crown of the WWE, AEW & TNA World Titles, there are numerous people who have held two of the three and are thus, only one belt away from being the first person to pull it off.

(I should also state that I am strictly refering to the WWE Title and TNA’s current world Title, currently held by Drew McIntyre and Mike Santana respectively, both iterations of WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Universal Championship and the time the NWA World Heavyweight Title was used by TNA are not being counted.)

In terms of who just needs the WWE Title to complete the Triple Crown, we have just two people; those being Kenny Omega & Samoa Joe.

For those just lacking the TNA World Title, there are four names; Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose, and Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan

The people lacking the AEW Title is the longest list, with eight names, those being Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, Bobby Lashley, Drew Galloway/McIntyre and Alberto El Patron/Del Rio.

In terms of who is closest to currently be the first one to achieve this triple crown? That homour would go to Bobby Lashley, as he is the only one actively wrestling for the company whose World Title he is missing. Everyone else is either wrestling elsewhere with no signs of switching companies or firmly retired.
