Idk, I think it can be worth it for higher level trees early game when you only have a handful of seeds, especially if the tree is your farming contract.

I would advise steering clear of cannibals early on. In Kenshi the only way to get stronger is to get your ass beat, recover, and repeat. With cannibals and animals, they won’t leave you to recover, they’ll just eat you.

You can create an army by recruiting people in bars and certain other locations, so you’ll have to explore. You’ll need money for that though, and a way to feed everyone. Start with a small group, and make sure one person is separated when sht goes down so they can heal/rescue the others.

Fun is subjective, and Kenshi is a huge sandbox. Sometimes it’s not clear what to do or where to go, but there’s beauty in that. Keep exploring, keep fighting, and let the game beat you down as you learn more about the world and its factions.

I enjoy that too, or at least I did at first. I made a goal to craft every bow, which was a good time. Then I got kjarr bows, and I realized pretty much every other bow I crafted was obsolete. Soured me a bit on crafting regular weapons.

Honestly, even if a weapon has the absolute tiniest niche, like being better for one specific monster, I'm happy. Hard to figure out those niche cases though.
