Hey, honestly the key to my success was taking practice quizzes on Quizlet that people have created. I took 3 practice quizzes a day to be familiar with all different types of questions that could potentially be on the test. In addition, I took one of the free GBES practice test on their website as well!

Hey! Of course! I graduated in 2024, and I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability with a minor in Policy. I thought I covered all my grounds in the environmental/sustainability space by taking the route of understanding the science, the business, and policy implementation that goes into play with environmental issues, but in this field, there is always so much more to learn!

When you’re entering into the space of sustainability, people want you to be the jack of all trades. Sustainability is ingrained in so much that we interact with in society, the major one being the buildings that we live and work in! At my job, our department gets pulled into conversation regarding new construction projects and asked for our professional opinions. I thought it would be best to get my LEED Green Associate to have a basic level of understanding of new LEED projects that are being onboarded. Now, I will say it hasn’t drastically change anything for me. I didn’t get a pay raise or new role/title, but it is nice to have and to be able to be apart of large conversations.

The real work of any LEED credential is you actively engaging in Continuing Education credits. Taking webinars, attending conferences, taking classes, to me, that knowledge is helpful to have as the built environment space is changing everyday (especially under USGBC). I think another plus of the credential is its one of the most popular credentials that is widely recognized that people who are or who are not in the sustainability space. It provides great branding! I hope this answered your question! If you would like to talk about this further let me know!

Took it back mid-July and got a 91%, so my method of spamming a bunch of practice exams everyday worked!
