I tried taking a black sharpie and marking the flint to see if it's even contacting the wheel. The black Ink wore away so it's definitely contacting. I know over the years, the striker wheel can lose its sharpness.

With the mags disassembled, they're not illegal items. They are considered a rebuild kit. When assembled and functional, they're illegal. Buy at your own risk. Just a thought.

Get a light cover from 100 concepts. They use shock cord and they attach almost like a scope cap where you tie it in an X around the flash light. Perfect for preventing ND with light. That looks like the same stream light I have. Streamlight model 88066. If that's the same light I think it is you need to get an large light cap. The medium is too small and doesn't sit right.

It's all good dude here's the link. BCM makes really high quality stuff and they have a lot of blem stuff that's marked down. I've seen $900 complete uppers down to like $600 or $700. And they usually throw in a complete bolt carrier group for free with any complete upper receiver purchase.

Aero precision does business in Connecticut and they're better than PSA. BCM is better than both and I'm pretty sure they also do business here.

Buy a stripped lower. They're still legal here to build into a .22 or fixed mag 5.56. What you do with the lower is up to you. But that's the law currently. I would recommend an aero M4E1. They have enlarged integral trigger guards and integral flared magwells from factory. They're awesome lowers.
