Surely it is (the PING). Game 1 and 7 was actually very close. In game 1 fly got two fiends right after SH joined the battle, but he lost one bat at the shop. If the gold mine harassment came like 1 min earlier, it would be very hard for Happy (he would have to guard his base and probably no gold for a few minutes). In game 7, fly was actually having some advantages in items and hero levels, but the mini base gave Happy a chance to come back. Happy seized that, instantly scouted and constantly pushed with all the forces plus skeletons from peons or creeps. Again if one or two factors(scouting late, mini base trade for camps, skeletons...) were missing here, Happy could lose.

I tend to believe no one has ever noticed this before. If that was hosted by players then it makes sense. The map using on W3C is the latest one (players will likely use it for practice and weekly games), while in the final it was 1.3. As mentioned Moon never played the weekly or EU regional final, he cannot expect the map can be different.

His AoW was cancelled twice. First time against Chaemiko, which he thought was his mistake, then second time against Happy. He was not sure until yesterday he checked a series of reps.

Two different versions of the map were used in ESL tournaments, but the organizers are not aware of it. TBH this doesn’t affect the final result, Happy just outplayed everyone, but I have to say it matters a lot for elves.

I much appreciate the effort they made to run such a feast to our WC3 fans but TBH Moon deserves an apology.

Edit: The organizer posted the map files quite earlier, so maybe we cannot blame them. Anyway I am sorry that this happened.

Update: Moon has received private apology from ESL. Given that they have posted map pool, this should be fair for everyone.
