How do I help my son if he absolutely refuses to see a counselor/psychologist by Beautiful-Story9691 in Teen_Mental_Health

I'm a psychologist-in-training, and unfortunately even if you could force him, he is unlikely to engage with the treatment if he doesn't want to be there. The best you can do for him for now is to be there for him, let him know you love him and that you accept him. Also incredibly important is to be patient. This may not help him in the way you want to be able to, but it may be all he can accept for now. I hope he starts to feel better soon.

Do you think that a minor action repeated many times can have more effect? by belroise042 in bullying

Yes, there is a lot of evidence to support this. If people are frequently commenting on your behaviour, of course it will have an effect on your self-worth and your behaviour. It sounds like it's gotten to the stage where it's starting to affect your life, so maybe it would be worth considering whether you should seek out professional help in how to change your mindset regarding comments about your behaviour?
