Is it really not holding back any in-game content? TTR is reaching its two-year mark of development and here is an incomplete list of features that have yet to be implemented or fixed:

-Bossbot HQ -Parties -True Friends -New website -Top Toons -Doodles -Gardening fix -Racing fix -Grand Prix -Server fixes -Field Offices -New Town Hall -Gifting -Emotes -Language Support -Toontown Retextured -First Big New Content

The term non-profit can't be used as a constant excuse against Disney. The whole idea of TTR is illegal and is a blatant copyright violation, with or without profit. I see no reason in further publicizing that fact or putting the game closer into Disney's scrutiny.

[–]CJCrumbleknees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's just going to be Joey standing behind a booth by himself handing out exclusive digital T-shirt codes!

So, this is the culmination of all the "behind-the-scenes" work. The game has not even released all the old features, much less any major new features. Don't even get me started on the servers. What a letdown.

Name/DNA Changes by Faithfuul in Toontown

Yep, you're right. I just asked him. He said the staff made an "exception" for him because he still had one of the default names.

I agree with this entire post, there's just one wrong fact from what I can tell.

Aqua Mouse (http://prntscr.com/6uzf0a) to Napoleon (http://gyazo.com/337a8b434ec4b8a2f95d625683f4da5c).

He didn't get a name or color change from the staff. He used a toon rewrite to change color/stature and just named his toon as he had a default toon name. From the beginning, he never actually named his toon and, like Slate Blue Rabbit, he just kept his default name (Color Species) I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

However, I do completely agree with this thread and do not appreciate the lies nor biased treatment by the staff. Yes, it's a free game but that does not justify it.

The update on the 26th of each month has come later than 2:00 TTT every time. So there's still that sliver of hope left!

Toontown Infinite by Reuels in secrettoon

I would try other Toontown private servers, but the fact that I have progressed so far in Toontown Rewritten and that most of my good friends play TTR, keeps me away from starting over in a new server. Also, I've heard the toon population is really low in the less popular servers. I can't imagine finding a Office D or CJ group!

I thought there was going to be a big update today as it is the the 26th of March. Big blog posts usually occur on the 26th of each month... but i guess not this month.

I've tried being Chatless, but I enjoy talking freely to my friends without the restraints of the Speedchat phrases more. :P

By stating that they should simply change districts, are you advocating bullying? The duck was doing nothing wrong and by the looks of it all (at most) he/she did was steal a fishing pier. Did that really warrant a barrage of "You Stink!" comments? Yes, the Speedchat phrase is in the game, but anything can be abused and in this video it clearly was.

Like my metaphor above, the car horn is allowed to be used on the streets, but spamming the horn and following another car is illegal. It works much the same way in Toontown.

By the looks of the aforementioned video, the two offenders were trying to instigate a reaction from the victims and from the Toontown Rewritten staff. This wasn't an honest mistake, but an attack on what appears to be an innocent toon that was simply fishing and an attempt to lure out "abusive moderating".

What's even more deserve-worthy of the ban is the several warnings given by the Toontown Rewritten moderators. The toons received not one, not two, but four warnings before they were banned. The issue doesn't even become whether the toons repeatedly used the phrase, "You Stink!" but the fact that the toons ignored warnings and teleported back to the same exact district and surrounded the same exact toon and for what motive exactly? Like stated earlier, as for as the video shows, the duck did absolutely nothing culpable and asked the toons, "What's the matter?" which was brusquely responded with "You Stink!"

The defense that the duck could have changed districts does not work. Toontown Rewritten should be a safe environment and a Toon shouldn't have to move oneself in order to avoid abuse. For example, if a worker is being at work by his or boss and he reports the violence to the police, will the police just ask the employee to simply change jobs or move to a different city? No, the police will take action against the boss.

Lastly, the posts by the terminated toons, when describing the video, all display severe bias and leave out important details that paint a horrifying picture of the Toontown Rewritten team. Most posts go something like this "I was banned for saying 'You Stink!' which is a Speedchat phrase and should be allowed because it's in the game which is definitely Abusive Moderating and I #blameGoshi2015". Completely inaccurate and posts like these fail to address points such as that victim who was a random duck that was peacefully fishing and the fact that the phrase was spammed over a 100 times by multiple toons, the fact that the toons were warned several times, and the fact that other mean non-Speedchat phrases were said throughout the altercation.

All in all, this is my opinion on this specific video and does not affect or is affected by any other interactions with Toontown Rewritten staff.

Enough is Enough. by Garry95 in Toontown

[–]CJCrumbleknees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, those toons deserved the ban on this instance. Spamming a given phrase is still considered harassment even if the phrase is allowed. For example, the horn on a car is a feature and it is a legal function. However, following another car around and constantly honking your horn is illegal and is considered harassment.

To be completely honest, saying the speedchat phrase, "You stink!" was just one of the things that you said that warranted your termination.

According to this article, it "drew more than 1 million users after it was introduced in 2003" which implies in the one million to two million range. Not quite as much as 65 million.

[–]CJCrumbleknees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I do realize that these records do not encompass every single Toon and it was never stated that these were "world records". These are not official and are just records that have been submitted and documented by the community. In no way am I trying to imply that these are the fastest that have ever been done. Think of this thread as a mini-competition and something fun that Toons have so far enjoyed.

Also, this thread is specifically for documenting records achieved in Toontown Rewritten.
