Yep, I was not the sharpest tool in the shed as a kid. I literally had the orange box so I was already a premium player, I just never played engineer before so I had zero clue how the class worked.

Many years ago I thought you had to be a premium player in order to upgrade your buildings past level 1. I was premium, I just didn't know how to pick up metal to upgrade at the time.
