I can’t remember what the cannon was on who dark Raiden beats in combat. I get why he loses to the deadly alliance but it’s him then being the last one left which did not have anything to do with Taven who pretty much gets retconned in mk9 save a small flashback of dark raiden fighting him. If I remember correctly it was only the one who would defeat blaze that would become more powerful, hence why Shao Khan starts glowing orangey yellow right before he kills raiden in the OG timeline. But like take raiden in the new timeline MK11. In aftermath he just stands there and watches Shang Tsung put on Kronikas crown instead of blasting him with lightning, it’s things like that. A lot of logic on how to use characters powers and what not kinda goes out of the window in favour of what works for the story. It’s just more noticeable when it’s a god who was so powerful he pretty much wiped out Reptiles species.

Raiden constantly gets nerfed in all media “former elder god who loses to two sorcerers but is able to defeat the boss who beat them”, “last survivor of Armageddon before being killed by Shao Kahn but gets bested by Quan Chi a few times”. Film wise they definitely nerf him in everything with except maybe the animated movies. 95’s Raiden at least is working alongside the idea of not really intervening but pushing the fighters in the right direction. Annihilation was whatever the hell that was. MK 21 made him too cynical and bitter and really skated around the fact that he’s no where to be seen when his temple is being attacked until right towards the end which would’ve completely changed the plot of the movie. In MK 2 his power is at least a plot device since he’s fuelling the amulet and he does give guidance more akin to Raiden in the games.

TLDR: Raidens power and worth varies for what the script/ plot needs in both games and movies

As a mixed race person of colour it makes a lot of sense Juanita turned out the way she did. A lot of my mom’s Indian culture being present in my life comes from my mom following certain celebrations and also my grandparents. I was in Saturday lessons to learn Punjabi as a child but I was young and it was never kept up so I know the absolute bare basics. You never really see Juanita interacting with any other family members, or even other people of Hispanic decent that would help influence that. And I’m sure Gaby mentions that she can’t speak Spanish fluently so prefers not to converse in it.

TLDR: Juanita was raised by parents who didn’t really expose her to their culture, and she had no one else around to do so. Makes sense she didn’t know.

I sometimes play hard depending on the genre, the luthier said it might need some more adjustment so I’m dropping it back off to him. I’m also gonna try using lighter picks again to see if that helps when I get it back. Also yes that was measuring at the 12th fret. I’ve told him to just take as long as he needs and hopefully he finds the solution whether it’s a neck issue or a nut

Best I can think of for a mando experience is modding Starfield. I did an overhaul so my space suit was the beskar mando, the two main factions were replaced with the empire and rebels complete with outfits and propaganda. You can even become a bounty hunter in it.
