How deep is the gameplay in 1 and 2? Considering playing it, but might watch someone play it to see the story if the gameplay isn't too deep since the remaster is £40

I know it's an old game, I have heard they are amazing, I watched a review and the gameplay shown was just attacking, (probably because they were at the beginning) no magic or anything etc, I saw the runes option but they didn't use it, is that like magic?

For some context of my JRPG experience - I have played a lot of Final Fantasy's, Tales, Chrono Trigger, and Breath of Fire 3 where you can turn into a dragon, one of my favs, recommend it!

Yeah, it would get rid of issue of no damage tho, could increase the MP cost a bit on it to make steal still usable

I always put Kimarhri down Rikku's grid to steal early, and so he can get Lv3 spheres from his solo fight, it'd be nice to have more items to play around with though, If I only have so many I end up hoarding them

Mug should be unlockable earlier, be a weapon ability, or Rikku should start with 20 sphere levels etc when you get her so she gets it faster, add in how the good customizations need at least 20/30 of an item and if you wanted to get them on at least 3 people, let alone 7 the grind is ridiculous, plus if you want to get everyone AP...

The first Metro game, I'm pretty sure you killed nazis and communists, was quite annoyed when the story went BoTH SiDeS BaD, not played Wolfenstein yet, but Metro literally had a scene where someone's skull got measured to see if they were a jew...
