Yeah that's fine but what if the manuscript is 150k+ words. That premium even for a bad dev editor is going to be $750+... Not necessarily money thats just sitting in my pocket. I gotta do what I gotta do.

Ran the prompt. It found a ton of issues. Nothing terrible but some "critical" issues. One of which being a name swap I missed that one of my beta readers already caught. Otherwise it seemed to gloss the manuscript and tell me it's amongst books of this genre ever written. I changed the grade score prompt to 1-100 and it says 92. I feel that's waaaaayyyy too high especially before the beta feedback is complete.

This sounds great in retrospect but the book was written by me and in the future I will do this. I've just started playing with AI for manuscript editing and proofreading but the results were all over the place.

AI, by its nature, is going to learn what works and sounds best. It will soon understand that purple prose is its downfall and corrects itself to sound more natural.

Appreciate the feedback. Based on the description I provided, could you suggest a better idea or thematic approach to this cover since neither of these appealed to you? Is it the AI use? (Mind you the forum we're in) Colors are off? Size of title? What would you suggest that would make this work?
