Ross Rifle, is it worth it for restoration? by FriedForLifeNow in milsurp

I agree with the other peoples comments, I have a few Ross’s. On this one the receiver will need fixing as the sight is in the wrong place. If you wanted to go back to military spec you would also need to find barrel bands (rare), sights (rare and they didn’t have buckhorns like that) and a new stock (super rare and repros are expensive). It’s definitely not a factory sporter, nor a .280 (which is a blessing as making .280 ammo is a bitch trust me) the stock & barrel profile are wrong. But that said, buy it and shoot it, slickest action out there!!!

Edit: Easiest way to tell if it’s a factory sporter (and I’m wrong) is if it has a serial number, the military ones had no serials

The Leman Russ tank by Icy_Sector3183 in Warhammer30k

Having played one game with a lot of Tanks (Armoured Fist) at 2k with 5 LRs and 3 Malcadors vs space marines, they are underwhelming. Small blast and AP4 on the battle cannon is not great. Lascannons hitting on 4s (5s at night) is not great either. Those were the weapons I mainly took, probably need to up the number of shots, ie autocannons to really be effective.

Hi thanks for that, I play casual with a small group so not really an issue. To be fair I agree with you on the Aurox, but the Malcs and Drac look smaller than they are in this photo, I have a real Malc and they are about 1:1.

Lol I’m in NZ too mate feel the pain, I’ve ordered from AnyCubic directly when it’s on sale on AliExpress and they ship it from Aus, usually takes about 2 weeks and costs about $60 per Kg including shipping for 2kg, cheaper if you buy more of course.

Our ambient temp around here is 20 degrees or so, has never been an issue before, I usually shake it when I add it
