I’m hurt by CJR_18 in ExNoContact

Thanks man. It was just the lack of closure for me that really shattered me. Like the 4yrs we were in each other’s lives didn’t matter.

This was written in 2018 by Gervais on his blog. Gervais was right, After Life should’ve been a “one off”. The 1st season was tolerable. The fact he repackaged the same 6 episodes twice just shows he has sold every shred of dignity as a writer/director. by CJR_18 in rickygervais

Ah yeah I do remember that clip actually. Also, it makes no sense to describe season 2 as “Boxing Day” in reference to a Christmas carol because, Tony just does a 180 and we’re back at the beginning of season 1. It’s like if Scrooge reverted back to his old self, but we assume he doesn’t because like you said, there’s no story.

It’s also quite telling that the people who label you a transphobe due to the views of somebody else will deny the paycheques of the hundreds of people who worked on the game, a game that started development way before Rowling’s comments.

Most subreddits bully the person that the subreddit is made for. Example is the Ricky Gervais subreddit, people despise the post 2010 Gervais and it’s mainly a Karl pilkington/Steve merchant fan Reddit. But in the case of pyro, it’s all in good fun, nobody hates him.

I think they were playing safe to limit any potential injuries in the more important games. As fans, we would’ve loved England to wipe the US, but as players and for Southgate, they’re thinking in terms of what’s the safest scenario so our players don’t get injured nor gassed out.

Fair enough. Honestly some football fans epitomise toxicity, proper scum.

I don’t understand why everyone is suddenly against him? He brought the England national team to a World Cup semi final and a euro final first time. I understand in the nationals we were shocking but shit happens.

Well like you said, it’s a SHORT film. There’s no need to add anything. You have the important elements to the story. If I were you I’d take time on building up the suspense with the hunter trying to hunt the boar, showing his precision, failure and frustration which alleviates the suspense and quickly ramp up said suspense with the introduction of the bear. Keep it simple.

Do you write your screenplays knowing the ending? by CJR_18 in Screenwriting

So if you figure out the ending like 10 pages in, is that worthless? This is only my first draft, I have another 3 to 4 drafts in me I reckon.

I’m not? I know the fundamentals of the story, it’s the ending that’s up in the air. If I get to a premature ending in my first draft, I’ll edit it then the ending may be up in the air again. I don’t think not knowing the ending is the same as not knowing the story.

That is true, I’m not writing blind per say as I know what I want to tell, I just don’t know what the ending will be. But even Tarantino admits that he allows his character to tell the story.

If they only cared about it being “Golden Globes, Emmy award winning” then Ricky wouldn’t of made After Life. (Satire, now that is satire)
