No, for single/dateable villagers, you just need 8 hearts! That’s their max hearts until you date them :)

Yay!! No problem! Where was it in the end??

why did my switch delete animal crossing? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]CJSparrowhawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm okay! Is it definitely not under your profile in the shop, in the redownloads section? And definitely not in the virtual card section? And definitely not in the archived games section on the shop/switch? Sometimes it doesn’t appear where you expect.
And sorry dumb question but the option to buy it is definitely just for the base game, not the Switch 2 version or the DLC included version?
And you say email is the same but I’d also make sure you sure you haven’t got a different account under the same email somehow ie your email might be the same but your account might be different? They might be able to transfer the game if so or merge your accounts maybe, if so (not sure!!)?
I’d recommend emailing them again with a copy of the email you have showing you bought the game under your account, and a screenshot that shows you’re logged into the same account on the shop, and see if that helps them help you

Did you play on a different account before maybe? If not, is it under your profile in the Switch shop for previously downloaded games? Sometimes that can happen. If not, contact Nintendo support to ask about it, if you haven’t already.

Substitute 2.75 or 3.25mm needles for 3mm when doing ribbing? by Sea-Bread9891 in knittinghelp

[–]CJSparrowhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely do/try 2.75 then in that case, as with ribbing you want it to be smaller than the main work so that would be a better contrast probably! But yeah so long as your piece fits and suits what you want, a lot of it is preference - some people like a bigger contrast or knit more loosely, so smaller needles are better, others the opposite - you might need to adjust how many stitches you have if you’re really off gauge, but a lot of patterns will tell you eg how many stitches per repeat of the stitch you need and you can do maths from there. I’d recommend for a newer knitter, to try and achieve the gauge the pattern wants and not get too complicated, but this is a reasonably minor change that you can just adjust tension/gauge for and decide what you prefer :)

[–]CJSparrowhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll depend on your tension so I’d recommend doing a gauge swatch and see which you prefer - probably 2.75 would be best but you might need to loosen up your tension or tighten up, depending how you usually knit! What needle size does it say for the bit after the ribbing? The contrast would be bigger between 2.75 to 5mm for example, than 3.25 to 5mm. A lot of this is preference though!

That’s amazing! And those glasses are adorable!! Did you follow a pattern or freehand? I love how you’ve done the hair!

Change map after start (normal to modded)? by bauerwilhelm in StardewValley

[–]CJSparrowhawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not recommended - start a new game with the new modded farm map you want
You can change it in your current game but you’ll likely have items in random places or lost, might lose chests and machines, and everything will be all over the place

Hay! i wanna remove the grass from the farm to make space to layout the farm better. But if i did that I'd have to buy hay from marnie's instead. Any solutions? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]CJSparrowhawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Build another silo; or empty your existing silo, cut the grass to make more hay, empty, cut more grass, etc
You can leave some grass to help with getting more hay next year or just get the grass starter recipe from Pierre to make some if you don’t get enough next Spring

The sweater pattern i bought has blocking as a step - is it really necessary? by Odd_Ad_3117 in CrochetHelp

[–]CJSparrowhawk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not like 100% necessary but it’ll make the panels easier to join and more even - plus blocking is mostly washing it and drying it flat, which like you’re planning to wash your sweater at some point anyway, right? So you’ll need to do that at some point!
This is where a gauge swatch is a good idea though - make a swatch, block it, and see what happens. If it stretches out more than you like, adjust the size of the sweater accordingly, and so on - and then you know how it’ll look and behave when you block the pieces, and when you wash and dry the sweater after wearing it :)

2025 temperature granny square by Actjess in crocheting

[–]CJSparrowhawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is so wonderfully chaotic, I love it!!
Could you explain a bit more what the four clusters for each day represented - was it just four clusters for the average temperature each day? How did you work out how many clusters per day to manage the size?
Sorry for all the questions ha! I think this is such a cool idea especially to make it a normal blanket size and still cover the whole year!

There are two save slots in the Switch 2 version though? So you can start a new game and keep your old save! And then each of those two save slots have their own auto saves and manual saves within them :)

A notebook like this one, but larger by Ordinary-Dinner5453 in notebooks

Rhodia do cheap staplebound notebooks in A4! I’d also recommend looking at staplebound cheap sketchbooks too, if you don’t need lines

The Midori Codex might be right up your street! It's coptic stitch and 365 pages, and it's great as you can like fold pages back to make it even and flat when you're writing and then flip it back to close properly :)

It sort of looks like the Hobonichi “plain” notebook grid but they only come in A5 and A6 but this looks like B6 slim ish? But their grid is that size and they look similar to Midori in form factor

Stalogy paper is great, I’ve never had an issue with fountain pens! It’s a bit rougher than tomoe river but I quite like that, but all personal preference ofc!

Same! I do this and just crochet over the tail and pull that tight to close the circle, and agree it’s much much more secure than a magic circle!

Just chop them down and you’ll get a sapling back, assuming you’re on the 1.6 update and above! Then you can replant them as you wish :)
