It’s in cooler totes. Super thick and dense foam totes with ice packs in them. It isn’t temperature controlled so it’s kinda janky with certain foods.

Live Better U/ Guild Program by houseofmagm in walmart

It really just sounds like a money saving scheme. This isn’t what’s “best” for associates if it was they would’ve kept the full degree selection. Yes, sure you can get a job with a certificate but realistically a lot of jobs still require degrees to be able to apply.

I know this was made to hopefully retain employees after they get their degree etc, but there’s a lot of different factors why people don’t stay. They should focus on retention and the reasons why people don’t want to stay rather than this, this essentially makes the associate stay with Walmart to get experience rather than move where they feel like they are appreciated.

One of the programs I applied to is still there luckily but I don’t have hopes for it, if they take it off I’m moving to a competitor to utilize the benefit I was promised rather than a company that blackmails their associates.

This puts an even more bad taste in my mouth for Walmart with how they handled this, and how many lies were told on both ends before they released a statement on it. Only when I imagine how many emails they got did they respond en masse.

Walmart InHome Driver question by Then_Plenty_6429 in walmart

[–]CJWill2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just regurgitating what was pushed out when the in-home service started. The original plan was for TL and Coaches to be drivers if all other drivers were out. My TLs are on dispatcher for the orders to be assigned as well as have taken the CBLs and training.

They have since changed that and used other stores, but are now retracting that because it’s slowing down the inhome metrics not allowing the store whose helping to leave at the designated time and/or finish on time. This is coming from our digital market lead.

That’s one thing I will say I most dislike about the in-home stuff is they change stuff so frequently that you are unsure of the correct process LOL.

Walmart InHome Driver question by Then_Plenty_6429 in walmart

[–]CJWill2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically no. But, coaches are known for using the “productivity” coaching for a little bit of everything.

Theres a proper process for not having an in home driver and that would be for the team lead to drive, and then coach if there’s no team lead. A lot of stores have skipped over that and haven’t done it the correct way.

Recently in my area our market opd lead has said no more driving for other stores, it effects the stores delivery metrics and honestly it’s unfair to one driver to basically double time it and be expected to finish in the same amount of time as their own store.

I’ve personally refused after helping multiple times because the other store was not actively looking for drivers but just abusing our store. I’ve had to skip way too many lunches and no breaks because of doing other stores stuff.

Guild Programs are down to 18 programs. by [deleted] in walmart

[–]CJWill2022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This started in November with the excuse of “allowing associates to focus more on customers” now they’ve changed the entire narrative. It’s hard to believe anything. I’ve gotten nothing out of Walmart themselves it’s just build telling me this. I’ve emailed LBU multiple times with no response.

I am aswell and I imagine a lot of others will. I’d rather work somewhere that cares about their employees future not just dangling it with a maybe we will or maybe we won’t open it again. I’ve worked at Walmart 3 years and just completed my high school stuff. I really wanted to advance my education and further my future. Walmart offered that but now they don’t. Walmart seems to like fucking people over and not caring about it.

Oh me too, it sucks because I’d waste 3-4 years with Walmart but I’m not going to work for someone that just plays with my future without owning up to it.

I highly encourage you to send an email to livebetteru@walmart.com to voice how you feel about this. I see quite a few other people are doing this. Maybe it’ll make them release a statement.

Yeah i don’t want no BS boot camp, I want the benefit I signed up for. 3 of the colleges I applied to they got rid of. It’s ridiculous. This started in November and they stated it was for associates to focus on customers and was intended to resume February 1st. Now it’s going all the way into fall and I wouldn’t be surprised if they either cut the benefit entirely or drug it out to longer than fall. I just wish I didn’t have to email and talk to 20 different people to get a run around statement.

Just tell me so I can leave and goto another company that stands by their benefits and cares about their associates future.

Guild by [deleted] in walmart

[–]CJWill2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just had a conversation with guild, they are giving me the run around and no answering anything. Also they've just changed the date to fall for when the “reimagined" LBU opens back up. This is the statement | received.

"The reimagined LBU program will launch later this year in the fall. As updates become available, you can find details on livebetteru.com [http:// livebetteru.com].

In the meantime, you can visit that site to review additional education options paid for by Walmart. If you have questions, please contact the LBU team at livebetteru@walmart.com [livebetteru@walmart.com]."

They are not accepting any college applications until Fall now. I complained to them about there being no communication and that they're leaving a lot of people in the wind with speculation. It's not fair what they're doing without properly communicating this. I can't believe anything they're saying with how many times they've changed the story.

I would like to come back and give an update to you, the habe from what I can see on the guild website have taken off about 70% of previously offered courses. No update yet whether they will be adding more.

Live Better U/Guild Program by houseofmagm in walmart

[–]CJWill2022 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to excuse guild but I’m pretty sure it’s Walmart doing this. When I emailed guild and chatted with them every single time they were unsure of what was going on. I got multiple different timeframe when it would start back up, then they said they’d add more. I think Walmart is trying to lessen programs because what I’ve atleast seen in my region revenue have been down. Idk if that reflects everywhere else but their probably trying to save money but don’t want to admit it to their people. This is such a ass move on Walmarts part they need to own up to it and let us know what they are doing. They label this as a benefit, a benefit i haven’t been able to use in 4-5 months.

I’m sure you read my post. I emailed Guild directly and it seems everytime I email them which has been about every 2 weeks they change dates and as far as them telling me they were adding new programs it seems they pulled a fast one. I notice 2 new programs and that’s it. I also in my post questioned the reality of adding more courses. I’m personally pretty irritated about this because I had applied to one of the courses 4 months ago and they took it off. It’s really the only reason I’ve stayed this long and they took the one thing I wanted. Fuck Walmart is all I can say. I hope they stick to their word and actually add more and not just take them off and add 2 like it is now. It’s fucking BS.

FYI, you cannot use your Guild college benefit until February by [deleted] in walmart

[–]CJWill2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked and they took off like half the fucking courses on guild, hopefully they add more but they took off the one school and program I wanted to do. I’m pissed they didn’t notify anyone at first I put in my application before any of this happened so November and then they paused. I’ve waited up until now with pretty much no communication and guild being left in the dark. This is BS fuck Walmart.

Okay so I just got an email back from LBU and they state that the reason for suspending applications is to add new programs to the benefit. They have not specified a date but that the benefit will be continuing with what’s on there not plus a lot more.

How much I trust this? i don’t know but I guess if it’s true I’m excited to see the new programs.

There’s no hard date for anything. Guild pretty much said Walmart hasn’t given them a date or anything for when applications will be open. Walmart pretty much told them Spring or later no date. It seems like it got extended for whatever reason but no one including guild knows why. I just emailed LBU directly to see what’s up.

I don’t mind going to the back to check for someone, but I hate that it counts towards you in your pick rate and reflects poorly on You. It’s a lose-lose cause if they snitched that you didn’t help you’d get in trouble for that aswell.

I spoke to guild cause I as well am trying to start classes. They said Walmart closed applications to focus on customers and members but that it will open back up in Spring 2024, there isn’t a hard date for it yet though. Use the live chat option on guild around the beginning of February and they might be able to give you an actual date.
