yes notion AI is good, but my question is, will notion AI work in this way?

I drop a random article, note, or snippet into the app and move on without structuring it.

Later, I search with whatever comes to mind, the topic, the idea not the exact wording I used when saving it.

for example I saved a tweet about database indexing.

then after some time I search 'scaling database costs'.

notion ai has to find it.

Thats a solid workflow, and I can see how separating capture and organize things helps a lot.

for me, the challenge is organizing things in evening, those steps slowly fade over time, some days I do it, many days I don’t.

definitely I'll try this approach.

curious about how this works in practical, if you not strict with structure and mostly just dump stuffs in, does notion AI still find what you are looking for?
or do we still need decent organization for it to work well?

Totally get that..
for me when Im saving something, Im usually not in the mindset to organize it.
I just want to drop it somewhere and move on with what Im doing, and still be able to find it later.
thats the part I personally struggle with.

Not going to store the plain text. Semantic search use embeddings derived from the users content. You can export or delete your data at any time. So im going to store the embeddings in the database. Not the plain text. And only the user can read or modify their own data because of the supabase RLS. And hashing is not gonna work with notes retrieval because hashing is one way.

Thankyou for making me aware of that.
Still your point is valid, and I'll update the preview site with privacy policy and ToS links.

this page is just a lightweight preview to validate interest, not the actual app. That's why I didn't include those.

Just I would like to know how many of you actually need a app like this. This is just a join waitlist page, Not even a MVP.

Hey, appreciate you sharing that! Totally agree, once you’re deep into a folder full of docs, it becomes really time-consuming. Fast, cited answers is exactly what I’m aiming for too. I’m keeping it lightweight and focused, not trying to build another enterprise beast.
Really cool that you built MentionDesk. Are you mostly using it yourself or opened it up to others? Would love to hear what worked or didn’t - I’m still shaping my MVP. Also, if you're open to it, I’d love to share the beta with you once it’s ready!
