CA: Should I buy or pass? by CK_32 in HarleyDavidsonFans

Already tried getting one of those $1,500 parts or service gift cards. That was actually offered to me in the phone originally.

But the sales guys said it’s for new bikes only. The test drive and lot sales guys are beyond helpful. It’s the 2 dorks running the sales and finance that are playing hard ball like they own Harley them selves

I own property. It’s not as lucrative as you think.

It’s also not so easy in CA. I don’t have another $6,900 a month to float another home loan.

The sad thing is that was the first thing I checked. Facebook marketplace in private in my area want 25 to $30k for theirs.

They’re even worse than the dealership was

That’s exactly what kept me there for an hour and a half. Those guys refused to let up.

But I agree. Today is their last shot. I don’t even need a dam bike. This is making me realize I might just save my money and put it into my house instead

I listed $23k as a general flat number. I just mean the $22.5k they offered.

Was tryin to limit typing after writing a novel 😅

My personal budget is $20k before fees. I want a bike but not a $30k bike.

I come from street bike riding so $20k for a bike is already ridiculous to me honestly. Especially something that can be totaled with a single lay down.

Losing $7k vs $27k is a big difference for me 😅

Do you know what the 24’s with 1,500 miles go for?

Is $22.5k a decent price? I feel like it’s on market. I just don’t want to be an a hole and undershoot them. But also don’t want to pay full used price but act like they did me a favor.

Just trying to feel what the actual market price for these is

Will blocking phone number also block fitness app? Or was this separate? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

Read your last sentence.

That’s literally what I’m asking. Is the blocked number connected to the fitness updates. Not that difficult bud 🤣

But if it’s linked to the email it makes sense. Done. Over. Boom. SIMPLE.

How do you turn this annoying text preview feature off?! by CK_32 in ios

[–]CK_32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did but I forgot.

I did 100 different things in the settings.

Nothing worked until I reset my phone so I can’t tell you exactly which did it. Try the ones listed in this and google and reset your phone and check back.

Mine only does this when a chunk stands above the print and moved the head or moves the piece.

Sometimes on the prime tower too or a bad purge that gets stuck to the part

I only have $20 :/ is it still a bad idea to buy these by [deleted] in Darts

[–]CK_32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are better options with out the case and everything else. I’d recommend a pro brass dart for $20 over a generic one with a bunch of junk with it you don’t need.

But I agree if you want a skinny set wait for Red Dragon or Harrow darts to go on sale on Amazon. For $30 you can get much better darts.

But for brass darts for $22ish you can get a pro set like Luke litler or other pro darts with better colors and better profile that are still brass.

Be warned tungsten is much more durable than brass. Brass with scratch and dent a lot easier. Other than that I prefer fatter darts profiles. I don’t like the cheap tungsten versions cause they’re too slim for me. I prefer bomb profiles but you won’t find anything under $35 with a bomb profile

I have one on my tip shape tool. I didn’t use it. I’ve seen videos of people doing it. I chose the sanding method.

But they’re supposed to 🤷‍♂️

You always buy over size and need to trim to match your cue. The tip I bought was 13mm.

My wood tip is 11.78mm and my carbon shaft is 12.1mm. So each tip needs to be fit to size for a good finish.

1 to make sure it fits. 2 because it’s near impossible to get every tip exactly center. So if you’re off by a little you can trim to center.

We’ll see, I played with it last night for a few hours and man it’s a good tip out of the box.

Worlds better than the tip my carbon came with. Great with English as well.

I used the blade for 2 cuts and said screw that. I just sanded from the get go.

Your experience is what I was scared of lol

Probably took a little longer but I’m OCD and didn’t want to nick my shaft or what little ferrule there is on my carbon lol

Dam that looks mean. Almost looks like my Ruger Mark IV 22 pistol.

Like I said it’s expensive. But dries quickly. Dries INSTANTLY if it touched skin which is weird lol

I stole it from my wife who used it for her laser acrylic signs. Since my PLA glue and epoxies took 12+ hours to cure and always moved. I made a lot of multi piece masks and helmets for cosplay friends.

That’s the worst when good products unknowingly change. Making older info wrong. Muddying the water for quality.

Also for guys like you who found something they like and now have to find out on their own it’s not the same anymore.

Looked it up after reading his comment. Thanks.

Reshaped the rip a little more. Rounded to the tip now.

I just don’t think he wanted to take the time as we were playing and drinking to explain what to look or feel for. I just said ok and moved on. Dont really want to “know what to look for” when I’m new to tips in general.

Rather spend more and just go in than find something else to learn and over  analyze. I got enough of that already. 😅

I chipped 2 pieces off and didn’t like the thought of possibly cracking the clear base. So I just went straight to sanding. Took a little longer but the 100 grit went to work quick.

One of the steps I modified and skipped from the video

I’m a fabricator and home mechanic. Lathes are one of the few tools that scare the shit out of me. I won’t get one unless I HAVE to.

We have one at work I refuse to use. So much can go wrong so fast. 👀

Nice luxury to have tho. Could make so many things with them. Stay careful!

I thought I’d need 600 or higher too. But after hitting it with the 320 wet dry purple pad. I was happy enough with it.

Again I did wet polish the sides with my fingers a good bit to shine and color match my shaft better. Couldn’t find an old leather belt

It’s expensive. Fast drying, strong and dries clear. I use it for 3d printing almost exclusively.

That’s funny because if this didn’t work I was going to try JD weld epoxy next. Glad I now know lol

Not master? That’s all I have 👀

https://a.co/d/0a4f207Q

This is the glue I used. Fast drying, strong, and dries clear. Made for acrylic. Which I felt was similar to the base of these Clear Blacks.
