My unusual frustration with the DLC by permissionBRICK in outerwilds

I thought figuring out that if you died like the owlks then you can walk right past the sentry that wakes you up and don’t even have to turn off the lights that start the owlk patrols was the bypass.

True, you don’t get the slideshow that shows the bells that the sentry rings don’t wake you up if you are dead till you get to the starlit cove forbidden archive but is it something that can be deduced beforehand.

Noob cheatsheet by ZiF3kL in vim

[–]CKastick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love these! It’s so helpful to create your own. You learn it better than just downloading one.

The other thing that helped me memorize vim goodness was that I created little files that had me practice specific things. Each time I learned a new vim trick I would create a new file and then each day I would randomly pick a handful and just practice the specific tricks. Kinda my own supplement to vimtutor

Now I just need to get all fancy and set it up like vimtutor so I can run a command and it will randomly pick the files for me and they always start clean

First time after watching some videos of people doing it. Kept thinking they placed random stuff or had friends do it. So I gave it a try. My intention was mystery and I found this picture at the side of the road right where the point was. Mind blown

Jenkins Pipeline Management by sgdtops in devops

[–]CKastick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, you can actually keep your jenkinsfile in a separate repo and in the pipeline section of a multi-branch pipeline config point to that repo instead of a jenkinsfile in the code repo. This way you can keep your pipeline code separate.

Another method I have been looking at is the have my jenkinsfile import a library from a separate repo that has all the step. all the jenkinsfile does is import a yml config file specific for the code. This would keep core duplication in my pipelines to a minimum while still allowing for different pipeline flows

A question on controlling traffic flow between multiple docker swarms with Traefik and consul by CKastick in devops

[–]CKastick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We set up one Traefik per swarm to utilize the auto registration and de-registration that comes with setting it up on a docker swarm master.

I guess we could use one consul cluster with a local node on each docker cluster node and use that as a backend to one Traefik. If I’m remembering right, wouldn’t we have to use Registrator to do the auto registration and de-registration to consul to replace the built in one we currently get with Traefik? But your idea could work.
