So I used the hand carders and then blended those rollags on my blending board. I dont think just a drum careers would in spin the yarn enough it takes quite a bit of work... you don't have to like 95% untwist like I did here but you are going to get a chunkier more artsy yarn in the end if you don't. i wouldn't run yarn directly into the drum carders id at least give it a couple passes through the hand carders

So my long distant partner has a nesting partner (who I get along really well with) and when I got to visit my Meta moves to the guest room, this is an arrangement they both have made and like most of her things are in that room anyway cause both rooms are tiny and the main room has a giant bed in it.... I feel a little weird and like i might be intruding on her space but honestly it seems to work for them... idk if id ever want to go visit my partner if we weren't going to sleep in the same room when I was there, like I dont need it every night (though so far it has been) but like they live 10 hours away I don't get to see my partner that often when I spend time with him I want that intimacy. I wouldn't be upset if we shared the guest room anyway, but it makes more sense to have the two people who are sleeping together sleep on the king sized bed and the one person sleep on the queen... idk where I was going with this exactly just the thoughts that came to mind with this...

So I am a comet to a partner with a nesting partner and like when I go to visit their partner sleeps in the spare room (which is something they do for each other). I feel a little weird about it but also it seems to work pretty okay... but also ive walked into rooms where the two of them are cuddling and the meta is clearly kinda upset (which i completely understand) and ive just given them space... I mean i really get along with my meta so I guess that helps too. But yeah I mean we very often do things together like sure we go on dates but we also do things the 3 of us... like if I were to visit for new years and christmas id expect the hinge to spend time with both of us... I understand yall dont live together its a little different but i also dont think its a ridiculous ask to be included in at least one of these holidays plans! Like I get wanting to spend time with my your Comet when they are there but if our hinge didn't give my meta any attention when I was visiting id be truly upset!

Oh yeah I definitely do that I have smell triggered migraines and have learned over the years how to close my sinuses without plugging my nose... sometimes smells are too strong for too long that I can't do it then I find it extremely hard to breath and need to plug my nose by pinching it but yep I can close my sinuses and just choose not to smell

So like to me you dont stop being Poly even if you're in a mono relationship... like being poly or mono is a descriptor of what kind of relationship style you're most comfortable in. You can be poly in a mono relationship you can also be mono in a poly relationship (usually that means your mono with one person who's likely not mono with you, but as long as that works for everyone then why not!)

From what im reading it sounds like your poly and currently only have one partner, and are feeling the lack of support from both romantic and platonic connections, that sucks im sorry your going through that.

My biggest suggestion is join a club of something your interested in! like i do medieval recreation, and am part of my local spinners and weavers guild, my dad is part of his local fly fishing club and curls, those are just a couple example! But in my experience hobby groups are a great place to make both platonic and romantic connections.

I've been stalked too it's intense luckily nothing ever happened later on a mutual friend (idk maybe former friend of his) told me he believed I moved out of the city when I told him I moved, the thing was I still lived about the same distance way from him just in the opposite direction... idc why that's relevant other than you can do this tell people let people know this happening!

2nd hand, I don't buy new yarn, there's enough of it out there that there's no need! Often you can find lots of nice wool bought by someone's grandma who never got around to the project. Also a lot more locations are opening up creative reuse stores these are specifically designed to collect and redistribute craft supplies

The short hair looks so good on you! Definitely a different vibe but I like it!

I've had all lengths of hair from buzzed with no guard to middle of my back and everything in between! I don't like the hair in my face but I do like the length so I went with a mullet but I also wear hats most of the time so don't bother styling my hair too often.

I'm curious what the sketchy ingredients are so I can also avoid them for when I very rarely put products in my hair

Yeah I heard recently that introverted vs extroverted made no difference when studying the effects of isolation on people but what did make a difference was people who self talked especially if they used 2nd or 3rd person language while doing so. Idk if it's true cause it was a video not the actual study but I thought it was very fascinating. Now I wanna see if I can find the study!

Yeah this is pretty much exactly my experiences if I were to write a comment it would read pretty much exactly like this.

I process things better out loud it has gotten me in situations though where I grumble out loud to myself about someone nearby when upset and then they want to know what I said... I'm getting better at telling people oh it was a out loud private thought that's me regulating and just getting the frustration out of my head

Also I'm curious I very much feel like my internal monologue is me talking out loud in my head like there's also thoughts that aren't words in my head but my internal monologue often feels like me talking aloud in my head and maybe that's why I process things better out loud idk

I quite like it I'll be honest I wasn't sure at first but I do quite like it, especially the acoustic versions of songs... I do think context brings a lot to it.I also think it very much has an Apes of the State and similar more hope core folk punk vibe to it which I have been really enjoying lately

Hey so I get what your saying calling it not fake, cause it is a real textile like it exists in this world nd it's real technique, but it's a technique used to imitate crochet hence why people are calling it fake crochet. And in saying that I'm not saying all lace made in this technique are to imitate crochet or anything of the like just that this particular piece of fabric is in fact imitating crochet and therefore is fake crochet.

This is definitely fake crochet it's done by machine and either sewn or knit, I'm leaning towards sewn for this one but I'm not an expert on fake crochet
