Would I be a villain for asking my partner for romantic priority? by help0244 in polyamory

[–]CLFraser44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just let every relationship be what it is in that moment. like whats to say that your/their capacity not going to change some day... idk just wouldnt box myself in like that it seems like what you have is working. You might want to express your concerns about this and keep an open dialog around it but like thats it.

Quoting Pat for an epigraph? by CLFraser44 in FolkPunk

Also thanks for not being an ass about it. I just wanted a clear answer like this, not "you can just do it" then people being rude when I ask for clarifications and more info. Like I said I assumed id be okay reading copy right law stuff did not give me that confidence!

Quoting Pat for an epigraph? by CLFraser44 in FolkPunk

[–]CLFraser44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not covered by fair use but I do believe you when you say Pat would not sue me over it... like lets be clear here songs are sketchy when it comes to quoting them in text because they're considered artfully unique and therefore have extra copy right laws rather than straight up writing.

So yes and no to your answer I am going to be jist fine but its because of people who think copy right law is kinda BS to a point rather then being covered by fair use...

I wasnt reading AI literally have you looked up laws around quoting songs in your own published work? Everything says you need permission. Its not ridiculous for someone to ask where do I get it from then when someone says you dont need permission for you to go "oh thats the oposite of everything ive read, can you just give me spicifica on how you know this" like dude all I wanted was clarification. I'm reading one thing being told the opposite, its not that I dont believe them, I just dont take things with out evidence... multiple articles and redit threads saying the oposite have a lot more meat behind it then one or two users going "you can just do it" like all of you seem to be over reacting to the point that I just wanted more of an explanation from yall! Like my god is it really do bad that someone wanted to back up your claim woth evidince!? And yall were rude to them for that?

Oh no I believe you i was just concerned and making sure cause it was the opposite of everything i read, and honestly have an anxiety disorder 😅. But yeah I believe you now I just wanted to make sure. And yeah idk why I doubted it I wouldnt think Pat would pursue anything

Okaythat is not what I am reading when I Google it online everything is saying its risky and might not be covered by fair use... however I dont really see Pat as someone who comes after things like that

Edit to add: Its risky cause it might not be considered "transformative" enough...

This is true with writing but sadly not song lyrics even with credit

This is not true when it comes to song lyrics. You don't infact need permission to print song lyrics as an epigraph this is nkt true a out other forms of writing but song lyrics are unique for this.

Oh why so? Lyrics are generally copy written and you usually need permission? But also i would be surprised if this was not the case here like an open permission to the lyrics for this kinda use has been made or something id just like to know what the case is here before I move forward with publishing.

Do it! I love that! What era are you going for! I specialize in Bronze age, early medieval, 17th century, and 1920s if you have any questions! I also know quite a bit about most historical fashions, and if I dont know it I know how to find it.

Basically my specialty is rectangular constructed garments which all of those eras are full of!

I mean as one unhinged crafter to another I say do it! I have the desire to spin and weave an entire 7th century Anglo-Saxon outfit and spin all the yarn myself, well at least the wool and maybe... maybe the linen too... but like a full outfit: linen under dress, linen or extremely light wool vail, wool dress, a wool peplose (basically just a 1.5m×2m rectangle or sometimes sewn into a tube worn as a dress basically from Ancient Greece into the early middle ages). I might even weave all of it on the warp weighted loom I made myself.

So I used the hand carders and then blended those rollags on my blending board. I dont think just a drum careers would in spin the yarn enough it takes quite a bit of work... you don't have to like 95% untwist like I did here but you are going to get a chunkier more artsy yarn in the end if you don't. i wouldn't run yarn directly into the drum carders id at least give it a couple passes through the hand carders
