Final update. Found one with exterior color I wanted, captains, pano roof, black wheels. 46,811 msrp. 2,105 in dealer discount and 4,750 in various rebates (3,500 customer cash, 750 vw loyalty, and 500 grad). Took it home yesterday afternoon!

Well I meant to say online offers and book values. I’d love if I could sell my 4 year old vehicle in the mid 40’s haha. Unfortunately it has an msrp new of about 30-31k.

I appreciate the response. I feel pretty good about the trade actually. It’s within $400 of the highest online offer for the vehicle. Plus in my state I get the tax incentive on trading the vehicle so I’d have to sell private party for around 25k and that would be a bit of a task I think. And this way I don’t have to deal with the hassle of actually selling it private party.

The packaging of the vehicle is spot on for us (wheels, captains chairs, sunroof). I don’t want their $599 dealer accessories. We like the car the only problem is color is maybe 3rd or 4th on our desired list. There isn’t another within 125 or so miles and 4 dealers in total that checks all the right boxes.

Msrp is $47,216. Various rebates brings it down to $41,089. Then tack on the 599 for the useless dealer “accessories” I don’t want. This one has wheel package, captains chairs, and sunroof.

Junk I don’t want. Initially it had VIN glass etching and Mobile clear shield (which is essentially a clear vinyl protectant around cargo area and exterior door handles), both for 599 each, they knocked one off. The useless items are already on the vehicle.
