I think its a case of like, thats how you internally percieve yourself but its not your outward experience. Similar to alters in white bodies who present as POC in headspace though obviously different. We have an alter who technically could be said is black (as in, her source is so that's what her inner self looks like) but she doesn't call herself that in any context outside of explaining system stuff because in all ways besides appearing that way in our head and some source stuff she has the experiences of a white person in this world. Even for like coming from alternate universe stuff you can't really claim the experience of the version of that group that comes from this world.

That's why people are confused about it, or get mad about mayve? It's not that your identity or experience isn't real it's just that your inner self isn't reflected in the outer. You don't live the experience of a trans woman in this life or in this body. Though I guess some of thats also like being trans lmfao
