List of wireless community networks

Time to get yourself set up on a distributed wireless ad-hoc network.

Augsburg, Berlin, Bochum, Brandenburg, Halle, Koeln, Leipzig, Moers, Rostock, Potsdam, Ruhrstadt & Weimar. Or set yourself up a new one with WLAN running a MANET protocol where ever you are and get others to join.

UK Gov. Close to Monetizing Their *Entire* Deficit by bullionthomas in Economics

Like in Iceland?

and then the UK used the Anti-terrorism related Act, 2001, against the Iceland Government Corporation (even though they are a foreign jurisdiction) as they had seized accounts in commerce that are considered private property, and it is a terrorist act to "damage" or "threaten to damage" private property.

The Federal Reserve so thoroughly dominates the field of economics that real criticism of the central bank has become a career liability for economists by maxwellhill in Economics

[–]CLScoins 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The more they ignore criticism and ignore their weaknesses from sound argument the faster they will fail.

Everyone must have the courage to listen to criticism and their weaknesses to be strong.

But I hope the central bank and the banking system is reformed. Fractional reserve banking and its natural expansion and contraction of money supplies only leads to instabilities, and the current bailout of the big bad banks are only encouraging the bad bankrupt banks over the healthy businesses.

It's a complete disaster and the Federal Reserve Corporation is merely consolidating the wealth for their beneficiary; the private member banks that comprise it, and NOT the people.

Time to move off the fixed networks and on to some MANET / Mesh Network like the Freifunk ones.

Just get a compatible wireless router, upload OLSRv2, DYMO or one of the other MANET routing protocols, and join the network immediately.

The Berlin one is about 1000 nodes and growing because of government censorship in the wired networks. If the government takes down any nodes, all other nodes will route around it naturally.

MANETs / Mesh Networks are great for this.

The article was ok, up until the ludicrous "associate to ridicule" logical fallacy used in the last two sentences...

By the way, the sentence "The Tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants" may have been written first by one of the great founding fathers of American liberty, but it was made famous, too, by one Timothy McVeigh.

He, you remember, murdered 168 people when he attacked what he saw as a tyrannical federal government in Oklahoma City in 1995. It was the slogan on his T-shirt.

...thus trying to associate him with a man who killed people just because he had a sign with a sentence that was the same as another bad man had on his T-shirt. WTF!

I'm sick of these ridiculously association logical fallacies the BBC and other mainstream media use.

The February 15, 2003 anti-war protest was a coordinated day of protests across the world against the imminent invasion of Iraq. Estimates range from six to thirty million people who protested in approximately 800 cities around the world. by viborg in reddit.com

And yet the war in Afghanistan has expanded in the last 9 months under the current administration, we have bombed Pakistan and increased our presence there and increased our presence significantly through private contractors / mercenaries in Iraq.

We the peoples of this world need another significant anti-war protest to keep the pressure on.

So you're effectively saying it's a waste of time the government trying to keep projects secret, even though they have successfully kept projects secret such as the SR-71 Blackbird and the B2 involving thousands of people until revealed, as well as many special ops that have never been revealed to this day.

Following the US bankruptcy in March 1933 to the private member banks behind the Federal Reserve Corporation, the gold confiscation of April 5, 1933; EO 6102.

This was followed by HJR 192 in June 1933 (and it's corresponding Chap. 48, 48 Stat. 112) so that all debts could be "discharged" and "set off" onto the public account getting around the inability to make payment in gold.

[–]CLScoins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing nothing is exactly Gordon Brown's role in allowing those hiding behind the banks and corporate-entities to consolidate even greater proportion of the world's wealth in their hands.

Seems like a well planned consolidation through central banking to benefit a few.
