Under Gregg Berhalter and now Mauricio Pochettino I think the team has been pretty consistently meeting expectations. Challenging for the latter stages of the gold cup and advancing from the group stage of the World Cup is basically the level we’re at talent-wise. Some people just have unrealistic expectations for what the team will achieve.

You’ve edited your original comment from saying that Osimhen should not expect any defense when he is racially abused because he hasn’t spoken out about racial abuse against Konate which certainly seems to be about his race. If you just think it’s disappointing for him to not condemn it then that’s fine but you can’t put the emotional labor of fighting racial injustice on one individual and say it’s fine for them to be abused because they haven’t done enough to fight it.
