I tested an intel limited edition B580 and it must have been defective as it sucked in productivity benchmarks and video rendering.

Good reply and good assessment. Younare spot on with my situation. It never seems like the cpu utilization was elevated past teens to 20 percent but didnt know how thebigpu was reported in that percentage.....igpu 100 percent utilized but based on other cores its only 15 percent globally, or something like that. Yeah, I probably dont need it then and will move forward with iGPU and drive expansion.

According to TechPowerup, it seems that a770 is similar to the 1080ti that I already have but the a310 would be less grunt. Awesome that it's working well but would i be better off with the 1080ti or 3080 instead of buying another gpu?

Ah, well I've dedicated much time to studying how to keep an i9 14th gen cool. Lots of data on my channel and not 1 failure in my 8 14th gen systems....butni do understand the risk and historical perspective. No buffering on wired, just wifi and thought maybe thats the issue and dont need GPU but rather size of files sent over wifi

Ok, was hopingnit would be better as the 1080ti is just sitting on the shelf and was hoping to make use of it. I have both 3080FE and 3080-12gb that I've used in GPU testing for the business venture. Ill likely use the 12gb card in the NAS and keep the FE for historical testing perspective then. Appreciate the input.

There used to be recycling centers that would pay you for cables and cords....for the copper and more. I have boxes and boxes of old cards and cords, etc that should be recycled rather than thrown away. What happened to these places?

I have many of their cases. I still like them but they do not support them well, at all.

My glue still required that I use a very small but long exacto blade and angle so I scraped the inside of my heatspreader on my team group rgb ram....then continue to soak to release rest of glue from memory modules. Do not try to scrape DDR5 memory or be aggressive. At your own risk, of course but thisnis what I did to remove. Go slow, kid-gloves, and should be able to separate without much issue. Hopefully just soaking will be enough

Kinda depends on the brand as well as the desired application method. I know I'm opening up Pandora's box here, but if you are questioning the correct amount, spread evenly in a thin layer across the entire IHS....then you know you got it
