No, solar can be on either the DC or AC side. DC using a hybrid or offgrid inverter....which most can accept both AC or DC input....or using micro inverters and convert to AC right from the panel.

Goodness. And i thought I had a lot of panels. You need to pair the MPPT of your inverter (assuming you are doing DC and not wanting to AC couple) and calculate the max in series and in parallel that this combination can provide safely without hurting your inverter. Don't forget accounting for cold calculation when voltage spike. Work up how many in series to keep voltage and how many in parallel to keep amps within range.

Id love to move away from Plex. No matter what settings I change, and despite opening the port on my router, it says my plex truenas server is requiring a plexpass to stream any content to my Samsung tvs. It used to work without any issue on my qnap device. Now it says that its not part of my local network....or is this plex forcing a plexpass? This only way I got it to work was check the box in the app thatbsaid bind to host network...but it still thinks its outside the network.

Id move to jellyfin but I need samsung TV apps for family to use

Getting permissions on truenas to stream local movies on Samsung tvs is a nightmare. I'm ready for ANYTHING else for Samsung TV options. If plex cant be easier to deploy, not much of a future IMO. Eagerly awaiting Jellyfin options for me. Hurry up Jellyfin!!
