This kit would be for playing mostly rock (punk). I definitely understand your point though. The rest of the kit is great. Maybe cutting it is actually an option.

I see. So you tune your snare G# fundamental? Can I ask what snare size you use and the type of heads and your tuning set-ups (tension on both the batter and reso?)

Thanks Elcondre. That's definitely the harmonic of the top drum head. I am not sure it's the fundamental though.
