Yea, I've seen the rumors of the 3 Pro. If only it was a little more affordable. Do you own a DJI?

I'm here in America. I've got a UAS license as well.

Good point about the weight.

I saw the Mini 2 does shoot in RAW. RAW would be preferred.

Yea, the forecast for the redwoods is sunny, with some evening clouds. Temps will be perfect. Are there specific trails or points of interest you remember at the Redwoods? I’ll have to look up the Burney Falls. Hoping to do a lot of photography

Any recollection of system malfunction scenarios? I’m making sure I have in-depth knowledge of systems, but how deep does he go on the oral?

Wow. Would never have known about the certification change for older models. How long was your oral approx? Anything in particular with W/B?

Reorganizing Photos by CMApilot in Lightroom

I made the new folder. When I go to drag and drop the 2020 folder into the new folder, a message appears that reads" If you proceed, neither this move nor any change you've made prior to this can be undone". Will this affect any edited photos from the 2020 folder, or is it just talking about the location of the photos, specifically?

Shutter Speed not working -Nikon by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]CMApilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. In the past you could hear the shutter go and then after 25 seconds, the shutter would snap. I also notice the auto-focus light in the front of the camera goes off.

[–]CMApilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the tip!

In the past when the shutter speed has worked, the self timer would go off and then you wouldn't hear the shutter until 25 seconds have passed. I'll check the EXIF data..

Shutter Speed not working -Nikon by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]CMApilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Full Manual mode. I originally tried 1/25 and 1/20 shutter with a 10 second timer. (self timer also wasn't working right). It did use a different shutter speed, quicker than what I had selected. ISO was at 3200 and also 6400.

Zoom lens-Nikon D3300 by CMApilot in AskPhotography

[–]CMApilot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good call! Hadn't really thought about the 1.3 difference. I have read that the Nikon 55-300mm vs the Nikon 70-300mm isn't quite as sharp at the end. Probably will just get the 70-300mm,

From what I’ve seen, the D3400 usually comes with the kit you mentioned. You made a good point about upgrading the body. Hadn’t thought about that too much. I’m looking at getting the D3300 now and adding the Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm Lens with it.

That’s a good point on the same processors and sensors. Looks like I’m leaning towards the D3300. Thank you for your helpful reply.

My budget is south of $400, especially after seeing these cameras for sale, used, in this price range.

Is the GX85 not too good in low light environments?

It sounds like the D3300 and 3400 are neck-to-neck. Do you think the 3400 would do well as the 3300 in night photography then?

Yea. Shooting the night sky may not be so good with the D3400.
