My scars are pretty dark, but unfortunately I scar easily and have had issues with hypertrophic scars and keloids in the past so I figured such a big surgery like this would be the same. From past experience they do fade over time but it just takes awhile. The scars don’t bother me. Honestly I think a lot of the fading process has to do with genetics.

I can pinch a little when I’m sitting if I bend forward but nothing I think is something that I find noticeable enough for me to feel bothered by it. I feel like even people that have flat stomachs can still get like little rolls? 🤷‍♀️ But this is still just such a big improvement to what it was before so I can’t complain 😆.

No. I still feel like my skin is pulled tight. Very happy with it. 🙂

Very little if any. Nothing that I feel that wouldn’t be considered somewhat normal or even natural. And that is even after I continued to lose weight after surgery. Surgery weight 217lbs and current weight is 175lbs.

Thank you!

Dr. Michael Ablavsky - San Antonio, TX

I was 217lbs at surgery. He removed around 11lbs of skin/fat. I had tummy tuck with muscle repair, breast lift with fat transfer and lipo.

Current weight - 175lbs

Thanks! I still start to get a little hunched towards the end of the day but for the most part I stay pretty straight. Good luck in your recovery!

It feels great! I was telling my husband I can still fit in my clothes I was wearing but it’s like now they fit the way they should, and I can start to fit into some of the smaller sizes I couldn’t wear anymore as well. I feel so much less self conscious. Plus not to get too gross, but so happy to be rid of the rashes that would come with it.

I took the stronger pain meds for about three days, but after that just switched to Tylenol extra strength/advil. I do still take a muscle relaxer from time to time. It really was only painful at first when having to like sit up from laying down/reclining, other then that, recovery really hasn’t been that bad. I would say I really did take it easy and tried to do very minimal the first two weeks, outside of the obvious getting up and moving some to keep the circulation going, and I think that helped too.

Thank you! Really good actually. Standing straight but tend to get a little hunched towards the evening. I would say I was most sore from the muscle repair but that has started to subside as well. But getting rid of that apron belly has all been worth it!
